  1. It only primes my fuel pump. Does not stay running.
  2. Ok I did check the ground at the tail light, sanded and cleaned. I only have checked the harnesses under the truck. Are there more hidden?
  3. So I took out the switch again and thoroughly cleaned it and cleaned the c101 connector again and it no longer powers my fuel pump. No I noticed that when I pull my fuse for instrument lights and put it back in my hazard flasher clicks. don't know if its tied to all of this. Tried re connecting my fusible link and it still primes my fuel pump and my driver side running light stays on as long as my link is connected. Obviously I'm shorting out somewhere in there.
  4. Does anyone have any ideas for this?
  5. Thanks cruiser, I missed this one. This is probably why "sometimes" I have front blinker issues. I missed this one under my air box.
  6. I missed this harness connector when cleaning what I thought was all of them. Thanks for this tip.
  7. The new peugeot factory recommended weight oil is 10w30. It's hard to believe but it's now what is recommended. I switched from Redline mt90 to 10w30 and experienced only better results. Smoother shifts, quieter. The BA10/5 also uses aluminum synchros just so you know. No yellow metals in there.
  8. I have been wanting to do the same with mine except I have a full console in mine which makes it one step more difficult.
  9. Woah, that's a good one! It wouldn't look pretty but it's a great idea.
  10. I do need to clarify. Manual transmission. The headlight switch only primes the fuel pump. It does not stay running with the headlight switch on.
  11. Why yes it does! With the dimmer turned up it is on until I turn the knob about half way then it cuts out. I just pulled the switch out and everything looks good visually except for the huge pile of corrosion that fell out of it. All the terminals look good and the pigtail looks good. I blasted it with cleaner. So turning the knob either starts it or kills it. It doesnt have a ramp up or down effect. Either on or off. GREAT FIND! your awesome.
  12. Pulled parking lamp fuse and headlight no longer primes fuel pump
  13. Removed fuse, still primes and starts.
  14. I really like the sliding back window. Off topic but still. Those look like a great fit. Would go good with a tool box.
  15. Dug into it a little on my lunch and discovered my fuel pump primes when I pull out my headlight switch. This weekend I'll be tearing into my headlight switch. Not much else I can say until I get into it. I'll let everyone know what I find when I get to it.
  16. So I watched a video on youtube about it and I recall seeing the connector for it in my truck hanging down and not connected. When I get off work I'll check and see if the relay is good and try to figure out why it's not connected.
  17. It has been like this since I got it about 2 months ago. It has a HD lp dly fuse. I'm not sure what it is but I took note of it in the 88schematic that you guys gave me. The fuse was good. What is the headlight delay module?
  18. Now is a great chance to make a custom shift knob. It doesnt have to be a cue ball or a tap handle but you could literally make it anything you want right now. You have a week to do it.
  19. So I pulled out the harness from the ignition switch and turned the key out of curiosity and low and behold... the engine started right up and I was able to kill it normally. I'll pull the dash apart. My guess is that the ignition is somehow tied into the headlight switch since the engine won't die if my headlights are on. Anyone else have any ideas or hunches? What direction would you take from here?
  20. I was hoping someone mentioned this. This is exactly right.
  21. Sweet. That looks fun. I'm looking forward to learning how to solder. I have been wanting to learn for a long time. Woohoo progress on the Cheapamanche!
  22. Think I found my problem, or at least part of it. Ignition switch harness. Can these harnesses be purchased?
  23. Are there any general guidelines for choosing a suitable fusible link? Typically, a given harness segment is protected by fusible link that is four gauge numbers smaller. A 14-gauge wire would be protected by an 18-gauge fusible link. A 6-gauge wire would be protected by a 10-gauge link, and so on. Odd number wire gauge sizes like 19, 15, 13 and 11 are counted when sizing a link. The length of a fusible link should not exceed 9". This is the best I could come up with. It seems nobody wants to tell you how to switch to fuses for liability reasons.
  24. I don't think its link h because I have radio and clock power. I don't have an engine bay light and my dog lamps are not hooked up but last I knew they had power. Let me check real quick... so the fog lights still have power. I don't think it's the H fuse link.
