Got some stuff changed up over winter. I'm very very picky with my wiring and decided I wasn't happy with it. So I upgraded everything to 2 gauge and redid the whole 'fuse' area. Very happy with how it all came out. Changed to the Holley mid mount set up for the accessory drive. Cleaned up the whole front of the engine area. New radiator that is mounted and fits way better with more room now. Also changed over the electric Volvo power steering pump. Really nice unit and got a controller that allows me to control the speed of the pump. Much less twitchy at highway now. Overall pretty happy with how everything turned out.

Disc brakes for 8.25
70barracuda replied to 70barracuda's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm working on my buddies 66 charger that we swapped from a 8 1/4 to 8 3/4 and the brakes off the 1/4 fit right on the 3/4, which is what got me thinking about this. May buy the kit and if it doesn't work sell it off to him for his. -
Need some help for rear discs on my 8.25. Currently running the grand Cherokee disc brake upgrade and while I love it, I'd really like to get a wilwood set up to match the front. They offer a kit for the d35 and the 8 3/4. I know the disc set up off the grand Cherokee is a d35 so in my head the one from Wildwood should work. Also apparently 8 1/4 and 8 3/4 brakes are interchangeable so that also should work with one of their kits. I'm I missing anything why this wouldn't work?

Found one locally. Thanks though everyone.

Looking for a tan full center console. Ideally I'd like to find the tan used in from 84 to 86 but really any center console up to 96 will work. Pickup preferred. I'm in NJ.

That gauge cluster is what got him. We were at a car show and I was talking about it and the owner turned it on and my buddy goes "yup, this is what I want"

Just got my buddy's dream car. 66 charger. Little older than what I'm used to but should be real fun. Needs pretty much everything but the body is from Nevada so there is absolutely no rust, and it's pretty complete. Going to try and get the 383 spinning but future goals are either a 440 or modern gen 3 hemi.

Anyone with PRP seats, how do you like them? After a long road trip my back is killing me. My seats just don't feel as comfortable as they did new and I would also like something that hugs a bit more. I'm not a huge fan of the wild looking racing seats and like the custom color choices from PRP.

picked up a box set from harbor freight today. one in the set was super close, just had to file the slot where they sit slightly and worked perfect.

Do you have it? And are they easy to find? I'm debating buying like a variety box and just seeing what will work.

Anyone got a lead on replacement retainers for the rear trim right below the back window? The crown ones are out of stock everywhere.

Definitely don't do it with high humidity and heat. On some videos people said they got about a minute before it tacked up. I had about 15 seconds so the paint didn't fully settle and you can see the marks from wiping. I gotta redo it when it gets cooler. But even then it still looks killer. Other than that it was super easy. Wash it with their soap and a scrubby pad, grease remover, clear, dry in 24 hours.

I'll be there this year but just for the Saturday.

So I finally got around to clear coating the truck. Man I wish I did it sooner because it looks fantastic. It's poppy's patina wipe on clear. I will have to redo the hood and roof as the stuff just dried way to fast in the humidity. Totally on me though but I couldn't wait until fall to get this done. I mean it took away all the faded-ness of the paint and just left some cool patina, absolutely in love with it.
