There’s a Comanche in Dumb & Dumber too.

Dumb and dumber was on tv tonight and look what was in the background...

I installed brand new door seals so I don’t think that’s it.

I am restoring an ‘87 Comanche and the interior is leaking bad. I had all new interior fabric pieces installed so I am very concerned. The floorboards did have holes at one time, but I had them repaired and sealed. In addition, I had a new windshield installed and I’m almost certain there is no leakage from there. The water seems to be collecting where your feet rest (both passenger and driver sides). This might be a stupid question, but there are some holes in the rocker panels. Could this be the problem? The water seems to travel from the outside edge of the truck from the back of the cab to the front, then finally resting at the lowest point where your feet rest. Thanks for any advice.

I’m having a harness shop remove it from the Cherokee fixture, and sew it to my bench seat strap. I’ll share pics once it’s finished.

I recently bought AMC logo female seatbelts from a junkyard. I was wondering if the Cherokee one (Maroon colored) could be removed from the sleeve and would look like the blue one. If I remove the buckle from the sleeve, would it be fabric underneath?

My 87 Comanche has rust by the wheel wells. It's like this on both sides. Would it be that difficult for a body shop to fix? On the other side of the bed, there is a weird dent (it's towards the back under the body line, 3rd picture) The rest of the bed is in pretty good shape (Other than a bent tailgate). Would it be worth investing in a new bed, or should I repair the one I have? Does anyone have an original chrome rear bumper?

Well, after asking different groups of people on the internet, I decided to order a set of louvers. I have only seen louvers on a Comanche in promo pics and CC user Sugarfoot’s. IMPORTANT: If anyone is considering buying these louvers, be sure to contact the company that makes them (Astra Hammond) first. There are different versions available for different types of rear windows. Also, this is a special order so once placed, it is NON-RETURNABLE. I spoke with the person that will make my louvers. He said they will be made by this Friday. Hopefully they come next week.

I saw these Comanche taillights with black bezels and wondered if I should paint mine to match. Should be easy enough to do. I think the black bezels look a whole lot better. Thoughts?

Comparison of replica vs. original.

Original AMC louvers (From 1987 Brochure) Only picture I can find of the original louvers.

I am debating whether to purchase a new set of rear window louvers for my 87 MJ. What do you guys think of the louvers? Will they work with my sliding rear window? Here is a photoshop of what the new louvers would look like.

I looked at the reproduction louvers. Not sure if the image is correct. It says it will work with a Comanche. Do you guys think it would look right?

What grey interior parts do you need? I found a junkyard with two Comanches that have grey interior parts.

I would love to get those rear louvers for my Comanche. Does anyone on the forum have a set?
