Factory-Original Sport Bar Install (With KC-Lights)
NEO auto replied to NEO auto's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No, the guy I bought it off only gave me brackets for the kickers. -
My left turn signal doesn’t flash. When I activate it, it remains solid. The right signal works fine. The back up lights are also not working. Does anyone here have a solution? I replaced the bulbs with LEDs. Thanks for any input.

Such a nice truck. That interior looks so clean. A new carpet with a set of mats would really set it off.

Jeep Turbine 10-Spoke Rims Restoration
NEO auto replied to NEO auto's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I had to buy shorter lug nuts for the caps to fit on the rims. I also installed a factory-original sport bar with KC lights yesterday. The top picture is what it currently looks like. Bottom is when I bought it last year. -
Hi all, Last December, I bought a factory original sport bar for my 1987 SB Comanche. I painted it with Krylon Semi-flat black paint. I also picked out KC 57-Series Lights. The install went real smooth. We drilled straight through the bed and routed wires for lights. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Top: After Bottom: Before Bar after install: Note: I also got the new center-caps installed. (See bottom pic)

Jeep Turbine 10-Spoke Rims Restoration

I spray painted the black plastic on the center-caps. They were starting to fade away. Does anyone know how to restore the chrome sections of the caps (In the center). They’re not in that bad of shape, but one is chipped and the others have some wear. Top is After, bottom is before All caps after a fresh coat of paint. -
Are these compatible with the AMC logo belts?

This is the style I need. The release button has the AMC logo on it. I need one female end for the passenger side in black. Here's a pic of what they look like. Found them online.

I'm having the same problem. Can't find seat belts for a bench seat. I've considered the Cherokee belts as well.

Had the rims installed today. Decided not to use the center caps. I think it looks better without them. Before/After -

I will definitely post pics once they’re on. Does anyone here know how to restore the centercaps? The black plastic part is a little faded so I’ll probably spray paint black. But what about the chrome? Also, here’s what it looked like between the spokes before painting. It had a grayish tint, but the dirt spots would not go away. That is why I decided to paint black. -

Here’s how how they turned out. I put 2 coats of Duplicilor engine primer and 2 coats of Krylon semi-flat Black on them. I’m pleased with how they turned out. Debating whether I should still polish the aluminum. -
I would prefer honey, but black would probably look alright as well.

Here's how they look now. They still need polished. I'm going to paint the inside of the spokes black. Taped up for painting. I plan on painting this Saturday. -

Jeep Turbine 10-Spoke Rims Restoration
NEO auto replied to NEO auto's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I’ve been sanding with 180 & 220 grit sandpaper. It’s taking FOREVER. After polish, here is what a section looked like. I’m happy how it looks, but it’s taking so long to sand. -
I purchased some Turbine rims today. I plan on restoring them. Not sure which method would be best. I’ve seen seen videos online where people sand blast the rims and then use a special wheel paint. The picture of the single rim is what I believe the rims would look like if I refinished them. I’d either go with this look or get them chrome plated. Also, I am looking for centercaps to go with these rims. Thanks

I have a 1987 Comanche with a bench seat. The belts have went bad and need replaced. I ordered new belts on ebay, but they are too short. I am looking for both sets of seatbelts (driver and passenger) in either honey or black. Thank you

What you see is 36 sqft. Unless you want to install some in the doors, 36sqft is enough. We put the last few few scrap pieces in the b-pillars. A little bit of this material goes a long way. To speed up the installation process, use scissors to cut the material into shapes. Let me know if you have any other questions.
