  1. Just trying to help, not trying to tell you what to do. Cobble together whatever hot air sucking $#!& box you please! We're here to help each other, and bounce ideas off each other. I was merely trying to share some knowledge from years of experience, and actual flow testing of aftermarket & OE intakes. Actual life experience, not YouTube, or Google. But WTF do I know after doing performance work for years, and retiring as an Auto. Tech. after 25yrs. The pic you show appeared to be a metal intake tube. (Notoriously high heat soak.) The plastic coffee can air filter housing I can only assume is open on the end, or bottom. (Pulling engine compartment air is as far from cold air as you'll get! Average temp is well over 100°F every in cool weather.) You claim the OE intakes on later models have tiny tubes, hard bends, and restricted airways. (The or intake tube is far from perfect, but it's as I stated.... matching the flow rate of the OE throttle body's limits.) You can put a good high flow dry filter in an OE air box, with OE tube, wrap the tube with hood insulation, add a section of tube to the air box, and route it into the void between the fender, and wheel well. You will get actual cool air, from the outside, and at the max flow rate for the OE throttle body. I'm fairly sure your not going to engineer an intake beyond the limitations of physics using a plastic coffee can.
  2. Oh, please don't! I can give you other options, far better options, and actually be cold air. To be honest, a newer XJ style intake tube & filter housing is the simplest option. The OE Jeep intake tube & filter housings flow as good as any aftermarket you can get. The restriction is at the throttle body, so unless you upgrade that, your not going to get any more than the limit of cubic foot per minute that can flow through the throttle body.
  3. Used polishing\grinding discs to smooth the sharp edges of my aluminum toolbox. Actually got the toolbox mounted along with the bed rails for the SofTopper. I still would have to fold the SofTopper back to open the toolbox lid, but it gave me back my secure storage for tools & junk!
  4. Had a little fun! Scared the [emoji90] outta my kid when I decided to drift the local traffic circle! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] I can still do that after 20yrs.
  5. It's never unattended with a weapon for long. Especially in an area in not comfortable leaving it. I wanted it for the Dr Officer, court house, police HQ, kids school, ect.....
  6. Mounted through the rear wall reinforcement to angle it out, and make it more easily accessable.
  7. I have several I rotate through according to what I'm doing, where I'm going, what I'm wearing, and weather. Glock #23 .40cal Walther PPS .9mm Ruger LCP .380cal Walther PPK .9mm NAA Black Widow .22mag I've been looking at a Taurus DT .357cal for when we're on the boat, kayaking, camping. That's the polymer frame revolver. I would only but it because it's resistant to moisture, and I can get one super cheap!
  8. I ended up getting one of these. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it's removable, locks into the cage it's mounted, and has a cable if you choose to use it. The lock is double cut, and the arm hooks through the lid, and through the cage. I put inserts through the rear wall, and mounted the cage. My Walther PPS m2 in a Sticky Holster fits perfect!
  9. Dam you Sir! [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

  11. Old compressor
  12. Mine runs to the rear of the compressor, but it's a 92. I know there are a few small differences in the 91\92.
  13. I almost ordered that same kit but the condenser looked good. I had no idea the lower fitting would self destruct. Every other fitting did fine. In retrospect I should have gotten the kit with the condenser even if I didn't need it!
  14. The new compressor, accumulator\dryer, o-ring kit, expansion valve came as a kit for $165 on eBay. Seller is Pit_Stop_Auto. The condenser, and and line are $175 from O'Reilly here local. I couldn't get them any faster online so......
  15. I'll most likely make a custom mount for the back wall. I didn't see them on Amazon, but there are some made by a police supply mfg. that are made to mount anywhere, and can be coded or biometric. I'll have to check with the supplier for the PD tomorrow.
  16. Yes, it sucks $175 worth!
  17. I'm definitely feeling this! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FN5RDR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_OQEJBbFCY9QSK
  18. New AC compressor, accumulator\dryer, expansion valve, complete flush, new o-rings, and the last fitting on the lower condenser fu****g self destructs!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Currently awaiting a new condenser, and line to the accumulator\dryer. So still no AC until Wednesday!
  19. I'm not worried about access for safety really. I'm more interested in it being very secure when I need to leave it behind. I want to know that if someone gets my firearm it's because they stole the dam vehicle!
  20. You should look into LED bulbs for the lights. They won't be any brighter, but they will consume much less amperage. I have all LEDs in all 4 of our Jeeps. I can leave the lights on, the fog lights, work lights, flood lights, interior lights, and rock lights on for hours with no worries of excess battery drain!
  21. That's not bad. I would likely bolt it down somewhere. I just don't trust the cables. Don't know why...
  22. I have a Sticky Holster, and the Blackhawk version. I know what ya mean. It's 110% more comfortable than any other holster I have.
  23. Thanks. I gotta put my LED RGB strips back in, and figure out something with the CB antenna. The antenna is right there in the front drivers corner of the bed, so......
  24. I love my Tuffy full console in my Rubi, but I'm trying to figure out a way to maintain the bench seat, and keep from having to do a bunch of fab work to mount decent buckets.
