  1. GrayWolf emailed me... yay!!!
  2. My truck is mostly unadulterated, and to find something like that, is few and far between around here anyways. So, I have finally decided that when it comes time to repaint it, it will get the original, dark charcoal finish. It also has a tan interior, with a brushed aluminum gauge surround. Yet another, somewhat rare color combo!
  3. Awesome! Get the cat, for legal eagles and then remove it, right afterwards!
  4. Sorry about that, Rookie here! And I keep getting 'wrong info' from my so-called Jeep pros... lol! So, I could run it, without a cat, by having a cat delete made, for in between inspections? Oh wait a minute here, it does have an oxygen sensor, so without a cat, that will mess with that crummy thing... right?
  5. My Comanche has California's stringent emissions. I am about to have a complete stainless exhaust put on it. (409 SS). Will it need a Cali type converter or can I use a universal bullet type converter and if so, will it throw a 'check engine' idiot light, often? It will also receive a Magnaflow OE replacement muffler, also stainless!
  6. Getting this octopus through this little slot, proved to be difficult at best!
  7. Does a wiper motor need to be mounted, before it will work? I bought a new one, at Advance and once I spliced in the matching plug end, I tried the motor and it did nothing!
  8. So the Laredo isn't considered to be near the top of the line?
  9. My cluster does not have a RPM gauge, why is that? And it is a stick shift. I does however have a functional shift light.
  10. Exactly! I thought about, cutting a 3 sided flap on the unibody, fold it out of the way, pull the seat, reupholster it, then put the stud back in, tack it fast, reform the unibody and weld it back together!
  11. I am going to try that approach.
  12. How do I remove a seat pedestal nut from a stud that turns too? And no, there is no access from underneath.
  13. Which front axle will be the easiest and readily available, to swap? I want to eliminate the CAD. And in the process, gain a 4.10 ratio. Please advise.
  14. Cool, but yes I am a 6 foot 4 inch driver!
  15. I think that those seats sold. The owner and I were talking up a blue streak and now he has grown quiet.
  16. That was a typo, 87 MJ... my bad!
  17. As far as I know, is the back of the seat folds forward, only. I am not aware of ANY automotive seats that Rocks!
  18. Will these seats be a direct bolt in, in my 87 Cherokee? To have seats the fold forward, would be awesome!
  19. 99, but yes a 3.55 auto.
  20. The owner is a Jeep guy, as well as a friend. He told me that it would need a carrier as well as a ring and pinion, for the rebuild. Now to see if another friend of mine, is willing to rebuild it! I do not know beans about building axles!
  21. I seen with my own eyes, its a high pinion, so maybe the donor vehicle was a 99 model year then.
  22. Kudo's HOrnbrod!!! I chewed Skoal for 27 years and during my last year of rubbing, I kept asking God to please make me sick the next time I grabbed a pinch. Well never happened. So a friend of mine told me to try vaping. I told her, that !@#$ won't work. Then a couple of months later, I went in for my yearly physical and my doctor said to me, if you don't soon quit chewing, you are going to loose your teeth. A couple more months went by and I just tried vaping. Not more than 4 days later, I found a fresh tin of Skoal and even without thinking, I put my Vape pen in between my legs and ripped open that can of freshly tasting Skoal Spearmint. Not more that one mile down the road, I was nearly puking. Out that pinch went and that new can of Skoal. that was 2.5 years ago. I can not even stand the scent of Skoal now. When I told my doctor that I gave up chewing tobacco and began vaping, he gave me 2 thumbs up. I asked him, what he thought? He then told me, that vaping is the cleanest and best form of nicotine intake, available currently and he then said, did you know that chewing tobacco is addiction is worse than a heroin addiction. I was blown away with that summary. I still vape, at 6mg but when I first started I was vaping 18mg.
  23. Oops, I thought I included the parts vehicle... a 2000 Cherokee, into my 1987 Comanche. Yes, I want to eliminate the CAD. Plus, I need to match it to my rear diff (3.73) so, why not install the gearing on the parts axle, while it is out and then install it.
  24. Yes, I just installed 2000 Cherokee mirrors on my 1987 Comanche. Key point is to retain the fasteners of the Cherokee mirrors, as the Comanche fasteners are different.
