  1. Tomorrow, my truck gets its windshield pulled and if it breaks, it will get a brand new one. The windshield chrome/painted black strips will be replaced with a leak free rubber perimeter seal. One more reason why I am having this done, try to eliminate leaks! Update: no visible windshield leaks, they even did a compressed air test, they found nothing. Windshield shop applied extra butyl rubber in and around the pinch seam, to see if that helps the possible leaking situation. Next will be, new door rubbers, as well as a thorough inspection of the cowl area, while I am in there, checking out the wiper motor issue!
  2. My main focus for next year is to have my MJ ready for Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and if so, then York All Breeds will also occur. It will remain to be a Mall Rated / Light Trail Rated 4x4, due to it is a well preserved 31 year old Manche!
  3. Knox, PA has their annual Horsetheif Festival, Saturday August 18th, Jeep Invasion!

  8. 1987 Jeep Comanche Laredo, LB. 4wd, 4.0 liter, 5-speed, 105,000 miles. Original color Charcoal Gray, Tan interior, wind-up windows, AC, rear split window.

  9. My VIN is under 87 registry, in my screen name and my profile has pictures of my Comanche.
  10. Here goes it: I have been told that Jeep did not offer the 'Laredo trim' on our Comanches. And since my Comanche does not have electric windows, that this one fact alone states, that it is not a Laredo. But my carfax states, that it is... so, did Jeep offer Laredo, in the Comanches? or not?
  11. My truck has AC, but it does not work. I bought this truck on April 28th, 2018 and I haven't yet tried to clear the heater plenum of a Mickey Mouse nest. So the AC idea, must wait. I can not add a sunroof, due to the JCR Off Road roof rack, will hinder its opening abilities. I have thought about, somehow installing a 12v fan, within the tranny tunnel, but I have yet to locate a suitable fan, to even buy one! My rear slider, functions, but my spare tire, blocks some of the air flow and yes, I have already discovered that whatever is in the bed, it does find its way through the split window! And yes I have a headliner, but it needs reupholstered. I plan to replace the rubber seals as well as fully removing the interior and adding Killmatt to most surfaces. I also will add Napier hood vents, in order to help evacuate some of the under hood ambient temps.
  12. Just what can be done, to lower the interior temps of our Comanches? Here I thought, that my late model Cherokee was bad, it does not 'hold a candle' to a Comanche!!! FYI: My Comanche is now, all Legal Eagle inspected and finally ready to rumble!
  13. Is there an aftermarket company who makes these? I know, that when my dearly departed Dad owned his Hudson's, he could get almost anything related to rubber seals. Any help with this topic, would be great!
  14. Can the windows of a 97-01 Cherokee (power windows), be swapped in my 87 Comanche doors? My Comanche has manual windows. REASON: That damned 'faux wing window strip' annoys 'the hell out of me'.
  15. Great post Jeep Driver!
  16. Corrosion, sometime during its lifetime, either the windshield leaked or the clutch master cylinder leaked. No relation at all!
  17. Anyone here, ever replace their entire fuse panel? If so, please explain in full detail. My Comanche: 87, AX15 <--- now, 4wd, 4.0 liter - Renix, Laredo. Is this a good alternative? Painless Performance Products Universal Fuse Block 18-Circuit. Part Number: 764-30003.
  18. Do ya got a link, for that Super 88 kit?
  19. Yes, my rear axle is a Ford 8.8!
  20. I am just trying to figure out, what I need to do, to get it to track right. Here in the Nazi state of PA, wheel spacers are a big no-no!
  21. Restoring NV means, that my Comanche came from Nevada!
