  1. Will this axle be a direct swap/bolt in, for my 87 Comanche? Please advise!
  2. Not B.S. Maybe not realistic, but idealistic!
  3. Just like how most folks think that the older Polaris ATV's where Made in America... the wool was pulled over their eyes. The oil pump on my 2-stroke Scrambler, on the inside 'cast into it' it read 'Made in Italy'... lol!
  4. In my 'Frame of Mind' everything should be Made in the U.S.A. MAGA!
  5. Tomorrow, I am going to scrounge up a wiper motor assembly from a friend. And a unbroken cowl grille, a pair of Cherokee side mirrors and a one piece front axle shaft, to eliminate the two piece axle shaft / CAD, on the front differential, from yet another friend!
  6. Should say, Made in the U.S.A.
  7. Made in France, Y.I.K.E.S.
  8. Does anyone know where I can purchase, dash pad carpeting. My dash pad is pretty cracked, due to years of heat, in Mojave country!
  9. Killmat will be applied this weekend, provided that I can remove the seats and carpet. I purchased the 300 mm closed foam kit from Amazon. 2 kits, consist of 36 sqft. total. This should be a huge improvement.
  10. Finally, I will have a sun basked weekend, with low humidity and 'not so, blast furnace hot' temps. I plan to work on my Comanche, as much as possible during those two grand days!
  11. 1987 Henderson Nevada Born, Jeep Comanche Laredo 4x4 LWB

1999 Louisiana Born, Jeep Cherokee Limited

  12. Anything that helps, I am all for it!
  13. I would have a signature, stating what I have, but I simply can not locate that functionality on this site. Maybe its because of me being a rookie, on this forum... I dunno! Originally sold in Henderson Nevada, just titled in Pennsylvania, one month ago: a 1987 Jeep Comanche, factory built - Laredo (verified by HOrnbrod), 4x4, 5-speed AX15/NP231-23 spline/SYE <--- fully rebuilt, before the swap. A new Spicer built rear driveshaft, lifted by 6.5 inches, rear axle a Ford 8.8, front Stock, gearing ratios require to be matched yet. 33x12.50-15 rubber. Wheels aftermarket Aluminum, with a -19mm offset <--- I think, they were on it, when I bought it. JCR Offroad Crusader front and rear bumpers, along with their Roof Rack, all three coated with Lizard Skin coatings. I could go on and on, but, that is the nuts and bolts, to its current status. It will only get better, as time and money allows.
  14. The red Cherokee S (far left) is a Facebook friend of mine, Michael Eoute's. He has been a wealth of knowledge for me and one day, I would be honored to meet him. For me, my Comanche just wasn't ready for All Breeds this year, I wouldn't trust it for that length of trip, just yet. 2019 will be the year, for it. Congrats Alexia! Your many hours of blood, sweat and tears, are finally paying off. The Dude and Dom: The Comanche Preservation Society, how do I sign up?
  15. An ammeter, can you point me into the right direction as to where I can buy one? All of this is 'greek' to me, but by me buying this vintage of a vehicle, I must learn a whole new set of skills and I plan on keeping this truck, for quite some time.
  16. This blasted heat, coupled with me working 60+ hours, has me not doing much with my truck since I had it inspected. I will have to dig into it, as soon as I can catch a break. Thank you much! Current miles on my Comanche is 105,000.
  17. So, the motor will need replaced then? I heard that these motors rarely go bad! This truck was from NV, were they seldom get rain.
  18. You are a wealth of help. Where would us new bees, be without you?
  19. Not positive, I just know that when I pulled it and ran a jumper wire in the fuse box, that the wiper motor will run, but very slowly.
  20. Where can I purchase them? Its a 5.5 amp, no big box auto parts stores have them. Please advise!
  21. Best place to see Pittsburgh is on Mt. Washington as well as on the rivers. And if it is a clear evening, at night, when all of the lights are lit!
