  1. The Ax15 as told to me from the guy I bought it from came out of a 93 Cherokee. I found a junk Cherokee with an Ax15 in the junkyard with the external slave cylinder and got the bearing retainer, bell housing, crossmember, and trans mount bracket. For the transfer case the same guy give me a good deal for both the transmission and transfer case. The plan is to perform a temporary CAD delete found in the write ups and later in a few months swap in later Xj one piece axle shaft. As well as doing Azzy's design work shifter lineage. Flywheel I may or may not replaced depends on if I can find someone local to work on it. The clutch i do plan on getting a clutch kit. Also which all in one pre bled did you go with on yours?
  2. Currently trying to research parts for swapping in an Ax15 and wanted to see if what brands are recommended more than others for clutch relating parts. The Ax15 I plan on in swapping is an 93 with the external slave cylinder bell housing swap.Below is a list of parts that I need help with recommendations and what I am thinking about thinking for them. Flywheel- LuK LFW194 Flywheel bolts- ARP (146-2801) Release Bearing Crown Automotive 53008342 ?? Clutch Kit LuK 05065 Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder assembly ??? Any help and advice is appreciated
  3. Interesting
  4. Recently got an Ax15 from a 1993 Jeep Cherokee that I been rebuilding to swap into my truck. I found a locally a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with the 242 transfer case. I know the spine counts are the same but I was wondering if this was a direct swap to mount the 242 Tc to the Ax15. Are the input shafts to a transfer case different between auto and manual? Any help is appericated
  5. Looks like to me its the a/c condenser because my truck's a/c condenser looks just like that.
  6. Just curious by any chance are there is still any of those performance ecu/ecms still floating around.
  7. I done this swap and I would recommend taking the finder off. Without the fender on, it was easier to position it in the right spot and drill the holes to install. If you buy a new reservoir, team Cherokee still has the filler necks available https://teamcherokee.com/washer-reservoir-filler-neck-cap-oem-cherokee-1997-2001/ . If you want I can keep a lookout for one in the yards around me and message you if I can find one that isn’t busted.
  8. You are not the only one thinking that.
  9. It does have external slave cylinder. I will look into that. I just wanted to check to see because I wasn't sure if Chrysler made certain changes that I need to watch out for. Thanks I appreciate the information. Currently I think the last few questions I got are 1. Any changes or mods to driveshaft? 2. What did you go with for the clutch master cylinder? MJ? Tj? Xj? I tried to find info on old forum posts and searching on the internet but there's not a whole lot of info on this swap. Again I appreciate you answering all my questions about this.
  10. Ok. I apologise I didn't write that right. Did you go with a tj pressure plate or ba10/5 pressure plate?
  11. Just want to double check that i following you along Tj pilot bearing ba10/5 flywheel tj clutch disc Another set of questions for the pressure plate what did you go with? Also what did you for the cam potion sensor?
  12. Awesome and yeah I got several questions about doing this. 1. What did you use for the flywheel? 2. What did you do for the transmission mount? Did you use an ax15 mount or modify the ba10/5 mount? 3. Did you have to modify the center console ? 4. Anything that you would do differently if you were to do this again?
  13. I waiting on the guy to respond back about a few questions about how he did the conversion because he had this setup in his Comanche. According to the guy it came out of a 2002 tj. Been researching the internet about tj->Mj and haven't have much luck on confirming that. According to the guy its in great shape, the only reason why he is selling it because he wreck the Comanche that he had the transmission and transfer case and yes it comes with the bell housing.
  14. Currently thinking about doing a transmission swap. I found someone on Facebook selling a nv3550 with a np231 transfer case for $300 obo. Comes with everything but clutch related stuff. I wanted to hear thoughts and tips from people who done this swap or have own one with this swap. So far from what i can find its similar overall to an ax15. My backup plan if i open the case up to inspect and the transmission is bad, I will use it as a core on an ax15. Also do i have to modify the transmission tunnel or the center full size console?
  15. People still fight stuff out at my High School for me its not worth it to fight someone over petty stuff. I know one of the VPs and talk to her about it this afternoon. She got one of the SRO (School resource officer) and he took down info about what happen. He told he will be checking the cameras and seeing if they can figure it out. Its up in the air I did park close to one of the buildings but its up on a hill and the camera is at least 300 feet away from the parking lot so who knows. I personally don't like to complain, I just want to show up and do what i need to do to get my education. The part that i was most concern about was if someone else got hurt or their car got damaged. Well I am making a plate to go over the fairlead and I will post back on here with what I made. Have you guys not seen that bumper that was designed by the same engineers that made the Ford Pinto.
  16. If only I could get way with doing that. As I know of right now I don't think any of my friends did that. My best guess is someone was walking by and pull it to be funny because about a foot of cable was out because I have it hooked onto the dring on my bumper so it was probably an easy target for someone to be an a****** . I'm going to go to administration and see what are my options and if there are any cameras pointed at the parking lot.Other than that it's high school and somehow it's cool to screw with people's cars/trucks.
  17. I never heard of that happening but anything possible with electronics and wireless remotes.
  18. I don't if it does or not. The owners manual for the winch says in to leave disengage while not in use and on the instruction sticker on the winch. My thoughts is it may cause damage because why would Traveller/ who ever makes them go through the effort of putting that in two spots if it didn't matter.
  19. Well that's why I going to come up with a better solution. My best guess is someone looked at my truck and saw the cable hook on my d ring, decided it would be funny to pull it out. They probably be too lazy to fight the lock to pull it out more. So I doubt they going to take the time to do it. Yes but my winch you have to leave it unengaged when not in use to prevent damage.
  20. If anyone curious I am going to figure out a long term solution but for now, a cheap gun lock will do the trick. Only let about 2 inches out of winch cable then the locks stops it.
  21. Thanks Pete, I appreciate it and I will go check them out.
  22. Well I'm for sure getting one now since someone forgot that kindergarten rule of not touching stuff that you don't own.
  23. That might work I need to see what I can find online or make one myself.
  24. I was already thinking about getting one so if anyone got a good suggestion for one. I would appreciate it. Just was trying to see if someone had a cheap and easier solution to lock a winch cable.
