Well we had two floods. Not a mother nature type of flood but a broken pipe and a toilet that ran over for a day. Insurance paid out and I did most of the work to get it better than before. We just listed my house for Sale. https://www.redfin.com/WA/Puyallup/3018-23rd-Ave-Ct-SE-98374/home/2751261?utm_source=android_share&utm_medium=share&utm_nooverride=1&utm_content=link

I do love that blue and gold with the turbines -
Yes, it is driveable now drive it almost daily. I was going to get everything in, measure and go to Northwest driveline and see about getting my current one made to fit or get another one

Terrible timing has led me to the following questions: I am swapping a 8.8 and dana 30 into my 2wd. Can I put on new axle perches and put the 8.8 in, install the new ax15 and t case and get a drive line to fit. Leave the straight axle in the front until i get the dana 30 rebuilt. Basically swap everything but the front axle and front driveline? Is that ok? Secondly I don't have the transfer case shift linkage or handle yet. Can I install all the above and do the linkage later when I install the front axle? The reason for all this is we are moving to a new house and can't spend money on parts at the moment. I need to get the rear done while I'm here so I have my neighbors help, he has a welder and the know how to move the perches and get them in the right spot. But have to do the swap relatively quick so I don't have to tow my truck to the new place. If there is a write up on moving the perches please post a link. Also the u bolts and plates don't have a stud for my shock mount. Can I weld on a stud to the plate I have? Do I simply take a grinder to the welds to get the old perches off? I'm also considering repositioning the spring perches and waiting until after the move because this is a lot for a new mechanic with very limited time and money.

Making progress. I don't have a big enough socket for the nut on the end of the axle shaft . Upper control arm bolts are really stuck too. Applie some PB blaster. I want to replace all the u joints, ball joints and things while I'm at it but it is not going to be cheap.

Where are you located? Solid or slider, or what ever you can get?

My 2wd shaft can prolly be cut and balanced to fit because my new set up will need a shorter one right? And the front should be any xj/mj with a 4.0 that's 4wd?

I have a 88 short bed 4.0L. I will be swapping in a d30 front and 8.8 rear. I have a ax15 and np231j with sye as well. From what I've found just about all these mods, axels, tranny and t case change the length of the drive shaft. My plan is to have all the parts ready to go in. I can't measure the lenght of shaft I need because the axels aren't in. Does anyone know the length of the front and rear shafts I'll need?

I need a front drive line and a rear for a short bed 4x4 comanche. I don't want to pay for shipping so it pretty much applies to the washington members. Thanks

I sent them a messages a few days ago with no answer. -
Are the remotes universal? Any ol cable ok to use? Minimum length? I've never used one or had one. Here is a cable near me https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1612484412260844/?ref=browse_tab&search_query=Winch cable&tracking={"qid"%3A"6844236641373931054"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"3455268727816980"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A3455268727816980%2C\"target_type\"%3A0%2C\"primary_position\"%3A-1%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A0%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A503%2C\"value\"%3A0%2C\"upsell_type\"%3Anull}"}

This winch came with a Cherokee I bought. It is a Warn. It has no model number, cable or remote. Is it worth buying the parts to make it work, about 150 bucks or get a new one from something like smittybuilt?
