  4. I ended up getting the pilot bushing in the link above. I also picked up a new clutch kit. The new kit has 2 bearings where does the gold one go if it didnt come in the kit?
  5. We only got 5 in buckley
  6. I ended up getting the whole kit with flywheel and also a rear main seal and pan gasket. The clutch kit and flywheel have a lifetime warranty. More work to do now.
  7. Awful lot of red powder
  8. Looks like they are. Change the zip to gig harbor and itll pop up or expand your search area. I'd also add that craigslist shows an 86 comanche in lake Stevens at a pick and pull.
  9. It seemed good but I am a novice. Never felt new and never felt bad lol. I'll get it removed and take some pics. Prolly go the new route tho. I won't get to it until Wednesday. ..I think
  10. now that the 2wd 5 speed is out id like to replace the clutch. when ordering a new one do i get one for the year of my motor, 1988 or the new 4wd trans, ax15? I'm guessing choice 2. is more info needed? this it? https://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/clutch-set/duralast-clutch-set-nu1916-4/42853_0_0
  11. When I order a clutch kit do I order one for a renix 4.0 or a newer cherokee with an ax15?
  12. Finally got the transmission out! I've been told to replace the clutch while the trans is out. Hows it look? Worth replacing?
  13. Letting it hang isnt bad for stuff? I'll look into the studs and how those work and what I'll need. Thanks!
  14. Thanks. I pulled the whole system. Having a bear of a time getting the top bolts off that hold the transmission on. Not alot of room
  15. Nm I am just going to pull it all off
  16. Second to last photo, does the exhaust pipe separate here? I removed the nuts. Of the 4 bolts two are ran each way. Does the flange just pry apart?
  17. Sometimes I wonder how this truck ran so good. I started removing the transmission today. I pulled the plugs that ran to the tranny and one of the connectors is caked in crud and a wire is barely hanging on, not sure what its application is. The exhaust bolts look like they will be fun to remove. The first two pics came off with the little amount of effort like they were just balanced on there haha. The third photo represents the connector the first couple photos ran to.
  18. Guess I'll just use this one. Thanks for checking
  19. Ya I saw that. I need the metal plate
  20. I'm installing an ax15. This thin plate in dinged up so I'd like a new one. I'm going to order a new seal too.
  21. Yes, you are correct same rig.
  22. Not sure why some of those photos are upside down sorry
  23. 17 year old kid is parting out this truck I believe it's and 86 2.54 by 4x4. Sounds like he is willing to take things apart if asked. The body is pretty rough but the cab corners seem good. The tailgate is pretty beat up but the handle looks good. Check out this item on OfferUp. https://offerup.co/01aWC3HjAdb
  24. Better to be safe. I'll find some metal and work something up. Thanks for all the input
