So I figured out the pressure regulator and have came to the conclusion that my fuel pump is shot. Firstly it doesn't turn on even though I have a good ground and power to the pump. Secondly the gas gage goes past the full mark. My next question is has anybody ever put a gas tank from a ford pickup with the pump in the tank into their comanche? If so does the in tank pump provide enough pressure, as I know the fords also have a pump on the frame. Thanks Justin Also, is there a way I can change the topic name, as I would rather have a general question thread, due to unforeseen problems and not wanting to have to many questions cluttering up the board.

Yes so it is my fuel pressure regulator. Is it vaccuum acuated? If so does anybody have a vaccuum diagram?
-
Hey so I recently started pulling the comanche apart. In the process I pulled all of the vaccuum lines off. Coming off the fuel rail it looks like some sort of vaccuum operated valve? What does it do and do I need it. Also my fuel pump isn't coming on anymore. Are the 2 things related? If not where is the ground for the fuel pump located as I recently had both tail lights apart. It's a 1989 4.0 4x4 LWB. Thanks Justin

1. Lock rite rear locker 2. B.A. 10 to AX15 swap 3.Adding a sway bar

2 truck boxes. Make them yourself then you can port them, or design them how you want. Are your subs shallow or deep? Me an a buddy put 2 10 deeps into a mazda B2000 no problem. It can be done, you just might have to work a little bit.

I wasn't a fan of the blue motor wt first, but it's really growing on me. Good job  -
What if you could build a brand new Jeep Comanche?
Justin_k replied to beepbeepmyredjeep's topic in The Pub
Mine would include: -A frame -Hemi -5 speed (AX15?) -throw a NP 242 in there -True duals with some decent sounding mufflers Magnaflow? -Dana 44's front and rear with a posi rear -Disk brakes all around -Leather -Power options -Long box -A set of floor pans and rocker panels that would not rust. -Pre bedlined floor with removeable carpet -'97+ interior I have been thinking about this for some time  -
Instead, of photobucket, which I cannot figure out, I use tinypic.com. Real easy to use.

Thats what I'm runnin and I love them. Had champion somthin or other in it before. Way better start time, better fuel economy and more power. OTOH I tried a set in my renix motor AND THEY SUCKED!!!! H.O. motor for the bosch, Good ol champion in the renix.

Had the cherokee governing at 140 kmh (85?) so about 95 with my tires added in Recently spliced a switch into a wire going out from my transfercase speed reader, no more speedo when I hit the switch but goodbye governor!

Yeah, but YOU get to come and check it out in person if you want when I get it. (well, maybe "cheers" when you turn legal lol) haha the perks of living in Alberta :brows:

Found another bumper, kicking myself for not considering that one :headpop:

So I picked up a '89 comanche pioneer 4x4 4.0 and none of the lights worked, except for headlights. I now have everything, but signal lights. My question is: What is the power wire for the signal lights? I don't even have power up to my multiswitch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Justin

I'm runnin a red devil glasspack on my cherokee and love it. rumbles until about 2200 rpm, then starts gettin loud 8) It drones ( but that might also be because I have no tailpipe.) Always wanted to try a blue bottle... Magnaflows sound awesome. Just my 0.02 cents

Even up here in Canada it's pretty bad. You show up early like mentioned before and the waitong room has 4 or 5 other people booked ahead of you. What makes it worse is after the 45 minute wait you have to wait another 5-10 for the doctor to come to his office. All of this for a 5-10 minute examination. :wall:
-
Well I started off with a cherokee and that started the jeep addiction. Bought another cherokee for a 4x4 and rolled it :wall: Started looking for a comanche and here i am now. It's a 4.0 BA10 ( now AX15) 4x4 '89 comanche pioneer 5'' lift, dana 44, 33's. Traded for an olds '81 cutlass supreme with a blown motor and a '80 chevy truck with a rebuilt 350 (My equivalent of $600 :brows: )
