  1. I just installed some tail lights that I got from @Gjeep. After I removed my old tail lights and was installing the new set, I noticed that the screws that go into the tabs were binding after a couple turns. Not wanting to crack the tabs by putting too much torque on them I compared the new lights to the ones I just removed. It appears that different size holes were used for them or mine were just worn in. I went to Home Depot and picked up some stainless screws that were smaller and they threaded in without any binding. Not sure if this contributes to a lot of broken tabs, but thought it would be worth sharing.
  2. Here’s an article that might help you narrow down your options. Good luck! https://www.offroadxtreme.com/news/dana-35-vs-dana-44-whats-the-difference/
  3. Thanks, I’m going to order a couple 👍
  4. It might but would definitely take some fabrication. Not 100% sure, but I don’t think the bolt pattern would match either unless you swapped the front axle as well. Other rear options could be a MJ or XJ 44, but they’re pretty hard to come by. Ford 8.8 axle is another option (same bolt pattern, disc brakes, just slightly narrower).
  5. Dana 60, Dana 44, and last but not least a Ford 8.8
  6. Does anyone know if general springs will build customs springs for the desired amount of lift that your looking for?
  7. Thanks, I was going to go with the sun visor, but I really wanted the lights. Love the look of it! It’s a bit spendy, but I wanted the smoked lenses to match the rest the rest of the mj. Will see how it turns out 🤞. Looking forward to seeing the end result of your install! Good luck!
  8. Turned out great. Fairly easy install. Hadn’t heard of MOMO before but they look nice 👍
  9. Really depends on how you are going to use it. How much street use vs off-road? Over-landing or rock crawling? IF you can find a MJ/XJ D44 that’d be ideal. The Ford 8.8 is another viable option that’s more common. I run a built 8.8 in my LS2 swapped XJ on 37’s with zero issues. I wouldn’t run 33’s with D35. It’s a decent axle in a stock application, but beyond that I’d avoid it. I ran 33s on my daily with an open diff and it grenaded just driving down the street. No more turdy5’s for me lol Boat anchor? You’ll lose a 1/2” of ground clearance compared to a D44.
  10. I picked up a Lund visor for a Cherokee. They are similar, but noticeably different when compared side by side. The main difference is the area where they mount on top of the roof on the sides. The XJ visor has a cut out and the MJs is a straight shot across.
  11. Thank you! Mine are ok for the time being. I’m going to be swapping out my door handles soon and the plugs were starting to crack when I was prying on them. Mainly wanted some peace of mind in the event that I damage the plugs when I remove them. Thanks for all the information and links as well. It’s awesome how much knowledge members on this forum have, and even more so your willingness to share. Thanks again! I should have some chrome door handles available for cheap in the near future if anyone’s interested pm me.
  12. Do any of you know what this part is called or a part number for it? I haven’t had much luck finding it online. Thanks!
  13. I just bought a comanche Lund moon visor (should be arriving in 3 weeks 👍) and was wondering if could you post pics of how you routed the wiring for the lights and how everything turns out. Just looking for tips, pros/cons or things to be aware of during the install process. Also, not sure if your wanting to get LEDs for the visor, but they sell various kits on eBay with white or amber LEDs and newer updated wiring.
  14. Couldn’t agree more . I’m not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that the Orvis XJ vents are not functional and are just for the looks. The 5.9 ZJ ones are and have drip pans as well. I did a quick mock up on my mj the other day.
  15. I have a Grant 13.5” steering wheel and it doesn’t stick out further than the stock one did. No complaints! https://www.ebay.com/itm/261339788124
  16. Tyler @rocksolidfab built it. I don’t have those kinda fab skills lol It hauls... give it some gas cruising on the highway and I’m at 80 before I know it.
  17. Whoops meant to post this in the Craigslist/eBay section

  19. Yeah think he’s lost touch with reality on that asking price. Apparently 1 ton axles are worth their weight in gold . Sold one of my XJs for 8k and had 20k into it. You never get what you put into it.

  21. Gotcha... that makes more sense. I’ll give that a try. Thanks, appreciate the advice!
  22. Yeah being in WA it does rain quite a bit up here. I’ll try to track down a sealant that won’t cause any rust issues. No it did not come with pads. That would’ve been nice though. Probably less wind vibration and the paint would be in better condition if I were to ever take off the visor. Wondering if I should try to seal it from inside? It’d be more work, but think that might be the better way to go
  23. Right on, thanks for the info guys! I’ll be sure to keep that in mind for future posts/purchases.
