i wanted to make sure its clean inside and then i wanted to paint the gas tank so when i put the truck back together everything looks all nice and clean

i popped one off and it appears that all it does is allow you to connect something to the frame i would be surprised if its there solely for cleaning purposes

does he want just a bumper or a bumper with all the gear on it ? i feel like if you don't buy one with lights and a winch on it already then your getting ripped off

i feel like older trucks don't look good with to much newer technology

where i live when i called a couple of shops to see how much they wanted to make one they quoted me a high number for example this guy want 450 bucks and hes just trying to get rid of it https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/5927201266.html when i made one it costed med around 80 bucks

the cheapest way to do it is if you weld one yourself if you pay someone to do it vs buying a pre-made aftermarket one its going to cost almost the same unless you get lucky and you find a guy whos got something that will work lying around that he don't want no more

yes i see online that similar ones are kinda pricy maybe i can make one from scratch

in your bed you will find two of these by the cabin side but what are they for ? can anyone tell me

well that sucks but, i still want to put one on there it looks pretty kool

i don't think that the previous owner put it on there i think that in 86 when AMC owned the vehicles they might have done a few with ornaments but even if the last guy did put it on i think it looks real kool with it on there

so i was always wondering why on the hood of my 86 XLS had two little holes in it and now i finally see why i guess they made some with a hood ornament so i was wondering if anybody knew where i can get my hands on one of those bad boys or are they to rare to even come by ? or one of these would be pretty kool to

ok i will try to open up the gas tank safely and i will try to figure out a clever thing to do with the vent holes can i just plug up the vent holes or is that a major no no

i was able to pop them out i will just clean them and reuse them

And now he wants to sell it for over 10 grand Even tho guys who truelly needs duallys want it to have more power and a higher payload lol

Ok see I don't have vapor canister so can I just disconnect the hoses and leave it connected to nothing ?

can the plastic rivets be reused or do you have to just snap them off?

so do i turn it clockwise to tighten it and counter clock wise to losen it ? also i get that the tank needs vent holes but why are they connected to hoses and where do the hoses go to ?

So after i took off the bed i looked at the gas tank and i wanted to learn what all the parts on it are whats this part called and how do you remove it ? also what are these two hoses on the top of the tank for ?

Ha Ha Ha it looks like one day he pulled up to a red light and then a guy with a huge 350 diesel truck pulled up next to him and made him feel so small in his truck so the next day he thought he would improvise LOL
