Rags to Riches: 1990 Comanche build up *with pics*

I'd look on eBay for the aluminum block 5.3. There are companies that sell the complete stand alone package. I'd also look into Novak, advanced adaptors, and might even call around to some shops that specialize in LS swaps. Motech being a leader in LS swaps for jeeps, Robbie runs the place and is stand up fella. Jeep Speed Shop is out of cali but they made their name with hemi's. I'd put it all down on paper and do all the figuring on price before I spent a dime. Then weigh the options and see if I could stomach it. Honestly 10,000 seems high to me, but I haven't done one. 6 to 8 sounds right, but that's doing everything yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Honestly, you can add it all up and put a price on it and try to justify the price anyway you want. The price someone will pay is what it's worth. A LS in a light 4x4 truck sounds appealing to me, but it may not be to someone else. It's like beauty, all in the eye of the beholder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you sir, it'll be making progress over the next few days. My plan is to pull the head and see what's going on before I start making big decisions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And fought this..... So I'm not sure if I need to rebuild, replace, or go a different route? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where's the truck? I've seen the long bed megacab conversion but I'm always hesitate to buy anything from the north! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will a 4.0 out of a wrangler (2000 model) work? Someone told me something about crank sensor?

For the inline 6. Motor harness for now. I'm going to get a new motor and was figuring I'd replace it while I'm there if it's a 100 or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any vendors y'all would recommend for a wiring harness? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What? You mean you don't like this fine example of functional art? That's a lot of wasted money....... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But without the tire mounted in the middle.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man I wish I understood. The only place that I can fill or even check the fluid level is on the over flow tank. I'm not liking it. Not sure why it's set up this way and not sure that it's factory. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. Also I'll post a pic of the flatbed I'm going to try and build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also, where is the full cap for the radiator? Just through the overflow tank? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It happens, no worries. There was a thread on pirate that caught my eye. I want to be cool, I think it was. I'll see if there are any helpful hints there. I like the engine swap ideas here! That and Dana 44's will do nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you sir! I'll look through your build thread once I get to a computer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
