Was also worried about the rust issue on that 91
-
Yeah, I saw that earlier as well - on my "watch list" Thanks for the reply

Looks like a really clean, stock (except for the wheels & tires) Comanche. I contacted him about rust and he said that there was a little under the passenger floorboard that had been treated and some surface rust on the front end that had been treated. $8K seems a little high for a price, but there is the supply and demand factor. Thoughts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/182354805038?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Thanks, -Bob

Really love your truck, man. My search for the "right one" has been going on for what seems like a long time. I tend to get discouraged from time to time. Coming back here and reading about these builds gets me fired up again. Did I say I really like your truck? Perfect for what I am looking for.

Don't really need to have the high price slammed over and over again, I get it, I'm pretty sure everyone gets it. Looking for substantive responses regarding MJs with high mileage.
-
Believe me, I would never pay that amount, ever, for such a high mileage MJ. Just seeing what other members thought on the matter. Your reply is the first one that actually addressed my question, I appreciate that Thanks

Those plastic bed liners are always worrisome... The dealer's website has more, bigger pics http://babish.ebizautos.mobi/detail-1990-jeep-comanche-regular_cab_5~speed_stick_shift_4x4-used-15083727.html

Yes, I get that. That's why the high asking price The purpose of my post was to ask members their thoughts on high mileage Comanches that appear to be in decent shape.
-
How many miles are too many if, from appearances, Carfax, etc, the Comanche looks to be in decent shape? KBB price is about a 3rd of what these guys are asking. http://m.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=434319683&endYear=2017&pageLayout=list&sortBy=bestmatcha&startYear=1981&listingTypes=used&mmt=%5BJEEP%5BCOMANC%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D

Can people add what suspension components (brand) they're running as well? Thanks

Looks to be in good shape. Really clean, so that should help with your ocd, lol

Off Topic We lost a great kid in Sam Foltz yesterday. Great kid, was a walk-on from a small town in Nebraska and lived his dream to be the starting punter for the Nebraska Corhuskers. He, and former punter Mike Sadler from Michihgan State, both died in a tragic car accident. RIP, brother #RIP27

I contacted him. He's the 3rd owner, no accidents. Rust free. AC needs a recharge. Can't be certain if it is the Peugeot tranny or not. I get the feeling he's not the "enthusiast" we are, but just liked the truck. I have a brother-in-law out in that area. I could ask here if there is anyone in the area that would be willing to take a look at it for me. But first I have to decide how much I want to offer. It does look to be a good candidate for me though. If I decide to go any further I will talk to him directly with my best offer first. I'll have to figure in transport back out here too. I would not want to drive it 1,600 miles without knowing much about the truck Thanks for the advice

This one would require a flight out to California which I don't mind if it is worth the trip. How do you guys feel about the price?

Great find, man. Was it local?

Question on 89 Comanche I had seen the CL ad for this '89 a couple months ago but the pics were in dim light and it was parked up against the side of his house so I couldn't get a good feel for it. I asked my 2 typical questions about rust & functioning AC (it is stupid hot & humid out here today) and he said all was well. I guess he wasn't getting much action on that ad and posted this new one with much, much better pics - and he even cleaned up his interior! My max budget has always been at $4K unfortunately. But like I said the ad has been up, in 2 forms, for a while. What are your thoughts on this? Looks to be a pretty solid stock Comanche which is what I would prefer. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/5696514372.html Thanks
-
My first 2 questions are "are there any rust issues?" and "does it have AC. I know what you mean though.

Beautiful, man, with some quality components and work makes it even better.
