  1. So to keep my sanity on this build, I purchased another running.....as in it runs down the road right now 1990 Jeep Comanche and I’m going to put this one on a path to build with my grandson. I have learned a lot. I found a source for a wiring harness for if and when I want to do an LS build. Anyway this 1990 has 133327 actual miles on it. The fella I bought it from inherited it from his dad who bought it brand new. It still has owners manual and some other cool things. It’s a RWD truck that he started converting to 4WD. He has the bezel and 4WD lever it’s just lacking a transfer case. I think I might know where I can get one;) Not sure why this truck with no rust, extremely straight body for its age, original factory bed liner, got cut on at all but the damage is done. I’ll just make it gooder. I’ll post up some moar pics later. Got a ill timed blow out on my way back. Luckily I was 6 miles from Mountain Home AR Walmart. Who else is going to be open on Saturday at 5pm. They got me right in and I was on my way within 20 mins. I’m not the biggest fan of WM but dang, they saved my bacon.
  2. It’s safe at least.
  3. Got a door on. Just cleaning up the inside so I can dynamat it to ensure it’s quiet-ish.
  4. Thank you, I love how they turned out.
  5. Thanks but ackshully I’m not done. Just test fitting. Bumpers, rock sliders and fenders only are Linex’d in stingray, rest of the truck will be painted non Linex’d stingray. Will be shaping the fender flares to contour a little better against the body and using a black weather stripping between the two.
  6. Meant to post these earlier. It’s the season to be super busy I guess. Took doors off Comanche as well as donor Cherokee. That Cherokee bites.
  7. What a damn decent rig. Nice job.
  8. Finished passenger side. Finished drilling the main holes into the frame for driver’s side rock slider. Will post pics tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy this unrelated Christmas Holiday pic I took the other night with my phone.
  9. Wow. Nice build. I too have gone with the Notch fenders. They look so good in person.
  10. Began rock sliders install today.
  11. Ok lol put the front bumper on too. With pics.
  12. Took both fenders off today and flattened the pinch seams in the front wheel wells and cut the fender’s wheel openings to make them flush with the fender flares. No pics but my 3 yr old grandson helped me so that was the best.
  13. Both test fitted on... tightened up
  14. Stopped by the shop and got the holes drilled on passenger side fender for test fitting. It’s a smidge off from the driver’s side. Easy fix thankfully. Gotta hand it to the guys Notch Customs. These fenders are easier to install than I originally thought they’d be. If anybody else is considering these, they are doable even if you only have marginal mechanical acumen. To my eye the other available fender options just don’t even come close. They look very good in person.

Never said thank you. So Thank You for this valuable info.
  16. This is such a great thread. Congratulations on your build.
  17. Test fit my left front Notch Customs fender...I’m obsessed😻. They are already Linex’d Stingray which as mentioned earlier is the color I’ve selected to paint my Comanche. I’m not a body work guy but I’m happy with the result. Anybody else attempting this, just take your time on the first one. The next 3 are not going to be hard.
  18. Ordered these April. Didn’t quite fit the top mounting posts....too small so made the mounting posts smaller 😂. Wasn’t going to send them back. Fox 2.0’s at each corner...finally!
  19. Also. Got this done👇🏼
  20. Ordered back in April my FOX 2.0 rear shocks finally came today. Wow!
  21. Passenger side fender was gonna be a snap....until it wasn’t. Radio antennas are completely different fender mounts in 97 than they were in 87. Trying to get the antenna from the Cherokee is proving to be a “but wait, there’s more” exercise. Pulled the airbag out only to see that the antenna wire was still behind one MORE thing. And wasps!
