  1. On photobucker, underneath the thumbnail of your pictures there will be 3 boxes reading URL Link, HTML Tag, and IMG Code. Click on the text in the IMG Code box and it will copy everything you need to paste on here.
  2. Yeah, I'm past the denial stage, and I guess I'm okay with it now. Once the axle swap's done on this truck, I'll be putting a rotary into my '78 Yota and selling my '84 Yota to pick up another Comanche. That one'll be for power.
  3. The AW4s with the right bellhousing are rare... But that 4.56 geared cherokee would have one, methinks! It does, but we just got the rebuilt tranny last year! And we're trying to restore the truck with slight modifications, otherwhise it'd have a much different motor.
  4. Since I do avoid mud so much, the BFGs are appealing, but the lava rocks are what push me away. The rocks are sidewall killers.
  5. A quote from this months "Off-Road Adventure", in the article "Finessing the Jeep Cherokee XJ -- Part 2: Drivetrain": "The Chrysler Torqueflite 904 automatics, later known as the 30RH ('92-96) and 32RH ('97-00), were optional behind the fours through 2000 (the last year for the four) and the V6 to '86. If you want to experience slow, drive a four-cylinder automatic Cherokee. These are relatively strong transmissions, though the lack of an overdrive is a downside for a street machine. The 30RH and 32RH are slightly stronger than the 904."
  6. Some of you may have read about my agonizingly slow acceleration, which I blame on a sensor that messes up my idle, too high of gearing, and a 904 transmission, but I recorded it with my digital camera. '55 MPH' is about equal to 60, and it only took 24 seconds! There's no audio, and it's a little shakey, but I was watching the road, not the camera. Not sure why I have that HUge flat spot at about 4k in 2nd gear. And my new axles. 4.56s from a Cherokee. Rear axle has a damaged diff cover and no left axle or brakes, and the front axle is missing the vaccuum disconnect, but they were $80 each so I'll reuse my old accesories.
  7. That's crazy cheap on the seats! And a great deal on the tranny/t-case too. Last time I bought seats, they were $20 each, and last time I got a tranny with no t-case, it was $350.
  8. My suggestion of the BFG AT's was because of your first post on how you avoid mud. There only down fall is mud..... If you wanna play in the Mud, I agree with Pete, get the BFG MT's!! Trxus MT's are a very good TRAIL tire. But know they wear faster than the BFG and down right SUCK once the get to about 2/3 worn on the street. CW You heard the right notes, I despise mud, but when it shows up on the trail, I'll end up crawling through it to not get it all over. XTerrains turned out to not sidehill in mud at all and left me in slippery situation today, so I'm hunting a lil harder, since those things turn up.
  9. I've figured what percent my speedo is off, so it's actually 60. It's just slow. I got a video of the tach and speedo rising to 60 today so I can see where it's pulling and where it's lagging.
  10. Not sure. I'll prob change it. That's why I had the high-flow cat thread up awhile back. Possibilities for the speed are the gearing, sensors, cat, or the power sucking 904 transmission.
  11. It's hella slow. I'm hoping the regear will help and I need to check some sensors (even though the dealer said they checked them) cause the trucks doing some funky idle things even with a new CPS. Truck weighs 3600 with a 1/4 tank of gas and me inside.
  12. 10.5s sound like a good idea. I'll start looking into them a bit. Thank ya!
  13. I'm putting 4.56s in this week, and I'd do 4.88s, but I'm pulling Cherokee axles for $200 for the set. I'm not sure what other tire I'd go for besides the Trxus so much. I might have to open my old thread up again.
  14. I'd definitely like to get something used, I'm just getting impatient. Road wear is really a toss-up for me, because I know I'll change tires far before they wear out, but also, if they are wearing fast, I feel that they will be creating extra drag that my 2.5L can't take. I had the BFG A/Ts on my 3/4 ton GMC and my only complaint was when I ended up in any mud I had to create ridiculous tire spin to keep them clean. They were very quiet though, compared to my XTerrains, Kellys and Wildcats.
  15. It's not my XJ, just one I found on the internet. My truck goes from 0-60 MPH in 27 seconds with stock gears, a rebuilt fuel injected 2.5L with an automatic transmission, no unneeded weight in the truck, and 31" tires.
  16. Was just hard to line up with some larger tires on em. Alot of it may be I'm a lil guy and can't throw around a meaty tire very well, but two holes would go on and I'd have to fandangle on em all around to hook up on the other 3 holes without em falling off. I got upset at that and the weights turning into projectiles on the highway, so now I have Cragars.
  17. May I be the first to say, what the hoof? Did you see all the work he put into this? There's nothing wrong with big tires, as long as you keep your CoG low, and he's swapped in different axles, so he has the stability. The tail lights are set up to never snag on a tree, and the bed is bobbed to have a killer departure angle. This is one hell of a truck! 1999MJ, keep up the amazing work!
  18. If I had a set of these, I would be making a few copies of em before they went onto my truck, so I had em for future use on my own vehicles.
  19. "Cherokee control arm relocation brackets are used to relocate the upper and lower control arms approximately 3" lower and 1/2" forward of their factory position. The resulting reduction in control arm angle improves lifted ride and handling substantially." But like I said, a "pretty" penny.
  20. My old aluminum rims were drilled for both patterns, but they were like oblong holes. A PITA to put on, but I keep em in the shed in case any vehicle of mine ends up with different bolt patterns for a length of time.
  21. If I don't drive often, they go out of round. If I do drive often, they'll wear out. I think I'll just keep keeping my eyes open for some Trxus Radial MTs, used or buy 3 or 4 get one free. I'd love 2 sets of tires, but can only kind of afford one. I figure I can get $500 for my five 31x10.5x15 XTerrains and almost afford the Trxus. Thank you guys.
  22. Offroad I avoid all mud, occasionally do climbs in loose dirt or cinders, but spend the majority of time on lava rock and log crawling.
  23. I'm still in the market for some 33s and was hoping to broaden my search to bias plys (spelling? - plies?), but I drive my Comanche 7 days a week. 50% highway (70 mph) 25% city 25% trails Should I avoid bias ply tires with all of my on-road driving? I've heard that they go out of round if they are left to set, but is overnight considered setting?
  24. Just curious, are you looking to use the MJ main as well?
