  1. And it's not even loaded.
  2. I wonder if it would be better with a Hellcat.
  3. So what would you recommend for use under the carpet after all rust is removed if any is found, as paint only seems to last 10 years under carpet in NY? Did they use a "tar" sound deadener under the carpet as well? We redid the floor of my dad's 2005 Scion xB this Spring because of surface rust, and the tar based sound deadener that Toyota used, like to stick to the surface rust better than to solid paint. It took a propane plumbers torch and a putty knife to get it out of the driver's footwell, which where the surface rust was, but I could remove most of the rest of it with my bare hands. We did remove the drain plugs and used the Rust-Oleum bed liner in a spray can, two coats in the back and three in the front, and reinstalled the plugs with silicone caulk around the lip, to keep the water and salt out from outside coming in.
  4. They didn't say how big the adults were.
  5. Did the base trucks include a lighter socket but without the lighter, or did they not include the socket as well? And did the US base '91-'92 include a radio, or at least the speakers, or did they come with nothing? The Canadian 1992 brochure that Catatonic Comanche posted says that a radio was optional in the base trucks, but I'm wondering if the US ones were any different as it mentions that both daytime running lights are standard, as well as a block heater, but I think that the US trucks wouldn't have those standard.
  6. When did they stop putting the "Station Wagon" steering wheels in the Jeeps, and when did they remove the "bolts" on the three spoke? I like the looks of the "boltless" wheels better, and they should've done that from the beginning. Is the center of the "Station Wagon" wheel shiny like the ones GM used, or is the "Jeep" embossed in the center?
  7. Are the armrests the same as the rear armrest on a Cherokee, or are they different?
  8. I wonder if GM needed all the two spokes it could make for it's P-30 "Bread Van" Chassis, as those used the two spoke up to at least 1999. That is why I asked if the base trucks still had the same steering wheel.
  9. I don't have one in mind, I was just wondering. They seem to be hard to find, probably because they didn't make that many, and that they were te best two years.
  10. What are the differences between a '91-'92 Base and a '91-'92 Pioneer? Me and my parents have an interest in buying a '91 or '92 4.0L Long Bed Bench Seat Automatic Comanche, but dad doesn't like the GM supplied 2 spoke "Station Wagon" steering wheel. Did the base trucks come with the "Station Wagon" steering wheel at that point, or did they come with the three spoke one used on the Pioneers?
  11. Was it one to begin with?
  12. How do you swap a HO 4.0L into a Renix while keeping the HO power and electronics? I know it requires a harness swap and, ideally a donor '91 up Cherokee. But what things have to be changed, and can the cluster be kept the same on column automatics as most Cherokees have a floor shifter?
  13. What are the symptoms of a bad or out of adjustment Renix TPS? Do the symptoms include not returning to idle when the accelerator isn't pressed?
  14. Where are the tie down locations, for attaching it to a trailer, so it doesn't move around.
  15. Tell me more. 62mm HO throttle body and manifold on a Renix, si? Sounds like your TPS isn't functioning ............. Disconnect it and try again. That, or the TPS has gone nuts, as is making it go wide open.
  16. Is it possible to convert the 2.8 to Fuel Injection, and would it do any good? I know that GM did put TBI on some of their engines, but not the 2.8.
  17. Want to Buy a stock 1991 or 1992 Jeep Comanche Pioneer with the 4.0L 4X4 Long bed with Automatic Transmission and bench seat, with 130,000 miles or less. Must have a good interior, and ideally good paint and no rust. It can have factory options and accessories, as well as a cap and/or bed liner, but not lifted or made into an off road beast. Willing to drive to get it.
  18. So a pairing of the diesel engine and the Puke-Box, might have a shot of the transmission lasting, if the can be connected together.
  19. I think they might have used some Ford parts in Jeeps as well.
  20. Technically, the 2.8L V6 wasn't a GM engine, because AMC actually paid money to GM and bought the rights to the POS. They weren't buying GM engines from GM. Talk about dumb decisions. The 2.8L didn't produce significantly more power or torque than the I4. Apparently, shortly before the Cherokee was introduced in 1984, the thinkers at AMC decided that they needed to offer a V6 engine as an option, and GM was only too happy to sell them the old 2.8L, since GM had given up on it at that time. For GM, it was a win-win -- they unloaded an albatross, and got paid for it. So GM ended up putting AMC engines in the S10/S15 vehicles, as 2.8 was used up to 1986 in those as well.
  21. Renault still is, though they merged with Nissan a few years back.
  22. Did they ever put the Peugeot BA 10/5 behind the diesel? It would seem fitting if they did, as it would be a French car transmission behind a French car engine.
  23. CTD-02 looks a 48 star roof "flag".
  24. Rust can do that.
