Why would you need to use it as a recovery point when there are mounts for heavy D-ring shackles on each side of it? That doesn't make any sense at all. In fact, if it isn't intended for towing it makes no sense to even have it on (in) the bumper. i agree 100%

update. I'm gonna be putting my truck up for sale soon. i've come to a point where i don't want 2 projects anymore, i need the money, and i need a reliable good mpg vehicle for school. its not for sale yet so don't even pm me about wanting it. i will make an appropriate thread when its time.

well i was wrong. started working on the bumper today and found some rust through spots so I'm back on the hunt. if worse comes to worse, i could patch it if i had to using pieces off my other bumper but i really don't want to do that. I bet you could patch a rear bumper with a section of a front bumper (maybe). I never put them side by side, but the groove/detail looks similar. :dunno: actually the area that is rusted would have to be scavenged off a rear bumper.
