I'm just worried about strength issues chopping the lower portion of the hinge off. i would really only need to unbolt it once to put a pin in. i would never have to unbolt it again i wouldnt think. I'm not gonna get a factory pin either, I'm gonna drill it out to something that fits.

well i have been informed of a family outing sunday, so I'm going saturday for sure now. are we meeting anywhere before hand?

well, i won't be running doorless. I'm making a set of half doors so i shouldnt run into a problem of alignment. thanks for the pics adam. why shouldnt i unbolt the hinge? i think i have come up with a plan though. I'm gonna unbolt the door, drill out the hinge pin and replace it with a larger one. it will be longer than the width of the hinge so all i would have to do is tap out both pins and take the door off. i will still retain the strength of the factory hinge but with a easy to remove door.

gah! totally forgot that he did that :oops: thats exactly what i had in mind though. :cheers:

whats the deal here? the only way i could really figure it out would be cutting the lower portion of the hinge so that you could just lift the doors straight up and off. anyone got pics of how they did it?

got bored today. i had a door laying around and... this was mainly an experiment. i probably would have cut a little lower but i think it still looks good. I'm gonna finish the driver door up and put it on to see how i like it.

i used the flexible additive in the paint for my flares. it don't work. just ask my right rear flare. well any of them for that matter.

Lots of people debadge vehicles.....though if you look at this pic it seems like the jeep used to be green: Image Not Found Plus is has no roof rack....I thought all sports had the roof racks...... roof racks were optional. and where in all that picture do you get any clue that it used to be green? can't see under the carpet, and that is the door rubber that appears dark in the door frame....the frame is white. seat belt mounts
