Derf, we all have great confidence in you. Don't overload your circuits, and crash and burn. Stay in the game. You only need one house.

Thought the CC crowd might enjoy this. A great car from 70 years ago built with brand new technology. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/geneva/2021-morgan-plus-four-first-look-morgans-modern-classic/ar-BB10EPEN?ocid=spartanntp#image=BB10EHTf|1 It would be great if Jeep built new Comanches that preserved the original look with the best of today's tech.

I had someone leave a note on my windshield while out shopping but his note stated that he would be interested in buying if I were to sell my MJ. I called him. Told him it was not for sale but did have an interesting conversation with him. He had an MJ while in college but later regretted selling it. I have known people to buy houses in the $1million dollar range and boats that were not listed for sale by knocking on a door cold turkey. I was out riding my bicycle and struck up a conversation with a home owner about his MJ. He did not want to sell it but it is what lead to my buying a first MU 1100 miles away and then drove it home.

I had wondered what your name might mean. Thought it might have been a character out of dungeon and dragons or some other video game.
-
It's great that you hung on to it rather than trading it off for something newer/bigger. I see this is your first post. Welcome to the CC!

Following your thinking; don't waste time looking at it. You already know that it is a problem house. Put the money you would spend on changing the garage entrance in another house. It would be harder for you to sell when the time comes, just as it is for the current owner. On advice of counsel, I hear you are a star in the making.

Chill. You are smart and can make good choices. Think of it as an adventure. A game where you are the winner. Get your mind on right. Don't get in a twist and rush to buy something that you might not want later. You are wise to look at a lot of houses over a short period of time. It is easy to forget features if you spread it out.

As you likely know, in WWII an Indian language was used by American forces because the language was so different that enemy code breakers would have trouble with it. There was no Indian word for tank, so the Indians used the word "turtle".
-
Way cool. Do you speak the language? Evidently used by the Cherokee and the Iroquois.

If my math is right, when the little one is about age 6, he will be the same age as both his parents. Around age 12, he will be twice their age. Perhaps another role for Brad Pitt in a plot in the genre of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Because many might be too young to have watched any of the Lone Ranger on the boob tube, I thought you might find this amusing: Ke-mo sah-bee is the term of endearment used by the fictional Native American sidekick Tonto in the American television and radio programs The Lone Ranger. It has become a common catchphrase. BUT In Navajo, on the other hand, “kemosabe” translates as “soggy shrub.” If this seems an odd thing for faithful friend Tonto to call the Lone Ranger, perhaps he was just repaying the Ranger's long-standing insult. “Tonto,” after all, is a Spanish word meaning “stupid.”

So was it a cathartic moment for you that changed your thinking or behaviors?

Sharp observation. Now that you are here, the statute of limitations has expired on that 2008 thread. Why don't you lay that interesting story on us about the creation of fiatslug87.

Your ginger whispers and the fabric door panel both look great. Your Dad gets at least 50% of the credit for both.
-
Don't leave out the good part. What does it mean? Bold or daring per Merriman-Webster. Spill the beans.

I am often curious what some of the names CC members give themselves might mean. It would be great if you you share the story/meaning of yours. Unimaginably, 757 is my area code
-
You look to be of Scotch/Irish ancestry. Curious about the door panel that shows fabric. Nice. Is that original?
-
Thanks. Nice to know the tube is available. I have an 89MJ that came with a radio and has the tube although I replaced the radio with one from Jerome. An 87MJ that I have came with a/c but no radio. Figure that one out. Someone put a new radio in that I will toss and replace with one of Jerome's radios. Evidently it came with no radio originally because there are no door speakers at all but some high end box speakers were added behind the seat. I will keep those but add door speakers. Hopefully the fader switch can keep the ones from behind the seats from overwhelming smaller door speakers.

Then you are right at the GA border. There must be some that live in GA that know something about Jeeps. Glad you will get to meet some CC guys but a damn shame you had to wreck your truck to do it.
-
Glad you make it out unscathed but the truck sure took the brunt. The CC guys from Florida and Georgia should schedule a Meet and Fix weekend down your way.
