  1. That's why I had said a whole donor truck. I've got a friend with one that was rear ended so I can get literally everything for $500. As far as motor mounts and the transfer case mount I'm able to fab those and I'm a while by trade so I can do all that at home. My biggest reason to consider it is my whole drivetrain in my truck is rough. Not to mention I have an 86 with a non 4.0 firewall. Over heating is the reason I don't go Sbc
  2. The price of doing all this is pushing me to just buy a whole 4x4 s10 4.3 and swap to a 90 degree v6. It's super easy to slap a carb on , not to mention I would like a 700r over a Ax5
  3. You could cut the rockers out and slap in some 4x6 tube
  4. Found the problem........it's a rotted fuse panel
  5. Replaced both the flashers today. Driving around when the hazards just started working but they just stay lit if I hit the brakes
  6. I literally just did this to mine. That looks factory to me. I went back with 18 gauge sheet and made my own patches.good luck! A set of wire brushes for a grinder would be a wise investment
  7. Hey guys I've got an 86 that's signals just stopped working on. No arrows on the dash or anything. The fuse is good and the flashers are now new. Oh and the hazard lights don't work either. Is this a bad switch?
  8. I've got a long bed with factory package and I can say they ride pretty great but I've never loaded it down
  9. If you want to go 4.5 then an adjustable track bar is in your future regardless. So I would just go ahead and get one.
  10. Within an 1/8" should be fine. Why not just trim and run tj rear flares up front. Plenty of room
  11. Alexia lift?
  12. Heck I ran 3.73 and 35s on tj with a 4 cylinder for over a year.......anything is doable haha
  13. http://m.summitracing.com/parts/mio-mmwhs-38-bk This seems easier and honestly allot less headache than taping the head
  14. Yep I work part time at the home depot and we most certainly have them
  15. Tubes are .25" housing is around the same. Don't make big wide welds and tap on the cast with a hammer as it cools
  16. Ive got an 8.8 in my tj that I cold welded with some nickel rods and I have beat that thing. No problems yet, it is trussed though
  17. A vacuum leak will with no doubt cause running issues
  18. Any difference in the idle problem with it attached
  19. You can use a tj or xj Dana 30 up front with no problems. The only thing to think about is high pinion vs low pinion
  20. Dang that's no good. This winter I'm doing a motor swap on mi e then putting a 100% new ac system in. Not looking forward to these problems
  21. Ive got a super winch lp8500 and it does great
  22. I have the exact same truck! Is yours v6?
  23. I'm in the process of getting a 2.8 mj on the road. Good to see someone else running it
