I used the harbor freight compressor when I did my mustangs front suspension, they broke as I was undoing them :fs1: . Scared the crap out of me, luckily it was on the second coil so the job was finished, just slightly faster then I intended... Keep in mind that these were pretty high rate coils, probably much stiffer then factory MJ coils, but I personally wouldn't trust them. I could be wrong about $10, I did this about 2.5 years ago and just remember it was very inexpensive.

Well it is possible, I did mine without. But that was when I was doing my front axle swap. Spring compressors are usually available for rent at auto parts stores. Or if your life isn't worth much, harbor freight sells a kit for $10. The compressor will make it a lot easier, you should be able to get them on after unbolting the LCAs, shocks, and sway bar links. I think you might need to unhook the steering linkages, but I can't remember if it is necessary. But If you unbolt the UCAs with the LCAs, shocks, and the links unhooked you should be able to get them on without compressors, keep in mind that my spacers were only 1.5, so you might have more complications than I did.

Pretty simple, youll understand as you get it apart how they fit in, only thing youll have to do is use a pipe (monkey) wrench to unscrew the bumpstops

Most auto parts stores carry them, I know OReillys has them, they arent listed under an MJ though, just ask for one for an XJ :thumbsup:

My MJ melts fuses randomly, its because of the brake fluid that dripped on the panel, I can't have the truck down long enough to fix it so I just replace fuses as they melt

Wheels do not cool the breaks, its pretty simple to test, pour some vegy oil on the front of a wheel, and take it for a spin, it will move out towards the rim, but not back or forth

Yes it is transversely mounted, its a mitsubishi trans... I have had the oportunity to drive a 500hp one... It was very scary

If you want an excessive filter, than a 51459 might work... about 8-9 in long
