Mine is a 1990, I swapped out my original cluster for this one with more gauges and I added some LEDS off eBay, I think it turned out great! I hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I acquired a 97+ front clip and I am interested in replacing it with my original one but I need some assistance. Do you have to use the 97+ front fenders? Can you use the original headlight and turn signal wiring harshness? Thanks for you help!

Trim Decals Restoration ?
mattbuch96 replied to AMC86Kid's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just did this little project this past weekend. I used painters tape and cut around each letter with an exact knife and then used matte black spray paint and painted the whole emblem. When the paint was dry I then removed the tape and used a gloss clear coat and did over the whole emblem. Turned out great! When I get my other one off the truck I'll post a side by side old vs. new. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I always use the Tapatalk app to post pictures. I found it easier to do it that way.

Well today I experience something new. I received a call from my fiancé saying that her car was really loud and smell like exhaust inside and so what popped into my head first was the muffler or catalytic converter had a leak. She had been working from 7 to 4 at the hospital and during that time somebody was in the employee parking lot and cut her Catalytic converter out from under her car. That was the second one reported today at the hospital. So we called security and a police report hoping to find these people who are scrapping catalytic converter's for the platinum. I Couldn't believe it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This weekend I started replacing metal on my floor pans and I am looking for some input. I need to replace the metal underneath by gas peddle and a spot here my seat studs are and I believe the fuel lines run directly under these locations. How do I go about cutting and welding with the fuel lines there? Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What year clusters interchange?
mattbuch96 replied to 1989 comanche mj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
1986-1990 with the blue back are inter changeable, they will have 2 electrical connections and a speedometer cable. The 1996 will not work because they only have the 2 electrical connections and not a speedometer cable. If you're going to swap you cluster with idiot lights to a cluster with all gauges it is all plug and play, you will just have to change your oil and coolant senders to sensors. I just did the swap not to long ago. -
Bench-to-Buckets
mattbuch96 replied to harlemantg@verizon.net's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just recently swapped my bench seat for bucket seats, if you get Comanche specific bucket seat brackets they will bolt to the existing studs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Welcome to the addiction Tell us more about your jeep. Is it 4.0 inline 6, 2.8 v6, or 2.5 inline 4? Short bed or long bed? Heads up check your floor pans..... they are prone to rusting out. . :MJ 1: . -Matt
