  1. lol, I had my truck on open headers for a day and it was horrible. It had a flowmaster super 44. No cat but 2.25 tubing. I love how it sounds. Barely hear it in the cab but sounds really throaty outside
  2. I love this pictures Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Snow here in Bellingham again so a buddy and I made some videos. First video has no music and is just of my truck. Second is a video of my truck and my buddies Subaru with music!! Enjoy!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Is that a bolt on?
  5. I want to get rid of the stock air box so i can get some more room in my engine bay, whats the best way? Any good cold air intakes, or just something simple? thanks. links would be awesome
  6. Got to drive my truck in the snow for the first time. It did really well. There was a hill by my house that a TRD Tacoma was struggling to get up. Took the guy 3 tries and my jeep had no trouble at all! I was very surprised!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have those flares and 33s
  8. But because I'm still 17 if I get another ticket I'll lose my liscense
  9. Oh ya, I got everything off but the seatbelt ticket. Only had to pay 135$
  10. Picked up my axle and my front drive shaft, had to get it extended 2 inches. They put in new carbon cluthes and a heavy duty spring for an f150 so it'll lock up better. They showed me the carrier bearing they pulled and man, it was so shot lol. Put it all back in in about 2.5 hours and didn't have any problems. So far everything's all good!!
  11. Hopefully picking up the axle today. My carrier bearing was shot so they out in a bearing kit. Never just one thing lol. Hopefully I'll be able to get it in before school tomorrow
  12. Can I just get a 97 header panel and put it on my 87? Or do o need to do the entire front clip swap? I really like how they like look

  14. Putting on some work clothes then gonna go pull out the 8.8! Luckily it's pretty easy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've started like 3 threads about this but i saw this Chevy Silverado the other day and it looked like this soft top could work on a long bed manche. I really want to find something that would fit my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It does with Cherokees. When I did my ax15 swap I used a 95 pedal and assembly in my 87 comanche
  17. We still need to meet at Walker someTime bro
  18. This Sunday I'm planning on pulling out my 8.8 and takin it in on Monday to the driveline shop to get my clutch packs replaced. Thought about doing a locker, but it's only 225$ for parts and labor so I'm going that route
  19. So I'm just gonna have my clutch packs replaced. My local driveline shop told me 225$ total to do and only take a few hours so I'm gonna do that
  20. Maybe but I'd like to stay LSDHow about a Truetrac or the clones of them? I think Powertrax makes a helical gear LSD now for not too much. Even a Truetrac can be had for a decent price if you know a dealer. I preach upgrades over repairs. But if you want to do it cheap, I'd just go to the boneyard and find a lower mile Exploder and pull the carrier out of it and steal the clutch packs. Clutch LSDs to me are pretty much a waste of time and money. Something like this? https://m.summitracing.com/parts/dtl-913a561 and could I instal this myself or does everything have to be set up again and shimmed? Yeah, that one. The Powertrax clone is this one: http://www.rustysoffroad.com/powertrax-grip-pro-ford-8-8.html (I wouldn't buy it from them and a better price can be had if you look around) Unfortunately it does require a partial gear setup as it replaces the carrier. Basically measure current backlash, and shim this one to be the same. You would also need a new set of carrier bearings and a shim kit. If you're paying a gear place to do it they should not charge a lot, as it is much quicker to do this than a full gear setup. Disclaimer, I've never installed one in an 8.8, nor done any gear setup work or similar on an 8.8, and therefore I am not aware if there is any nuances or issues with doing a carrier swap in the 8.8. lol I'll stop by my local driveline shop tomorrow and ask for some pricing. Hopefully it won't be too much
  21. We don't have any smog tests so I don't care about that. I mostly just want more room and simplicity
  22. Can I just run a cone filter right on the throttle body? Trying to save space. Want to get rid of the air box. If so, what do I do with the vacuum lines and other assorted hoses? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So got the OTK aligned. Drives pretty good. Still pulls to the right. They also fixed my front pinion angle and trackbar cus I couldn't get it perfect. Cost 220$ so wasn't to bad. My front driveshaft needs to be lengthened 2 inches now too. And my clutch packs in my 8.8 are bad as well so I'll need to get that fixed before it starts getting icy round here also tried the roadkill zip tie wire separator for my first time and I like it! 25. Can anyone recommend the best clutch packs? I don't really know what to buy
