So I got a 89 renix and I'm gonna start tearing it apart so I can take it to get machined. I know there's a stroker forum but I just don't wanna make an account at the moment so sorry y'all. My questions is, when taking out the insides, what should I keep? I'm doing a 4.7l. What can I junk and what do I need to keep organized to use later? Thanks

Well today I picked up a 89 renix and over this summer very slowly I will build it up into a 4.7 stroker. Can't wait. Motor has 121000 on it and it came with everything. Got it for only 150$!! But loading it was very tough because the cherry picker was broken. Took 2 hours lol The kids dads wrangler was dope too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ya I found a guy that has a 89 renix that I think I'm gonna pick up soon. I'm so excited to start. I've been doin some reading but I need to do a lot more lol. -
So I'm trying to find a 4.0 to build a 4.6 or 4.7 stroker out of and I'd like to stay renix. Do many people stroke renixs? I just don't really wanna deal with swapping to HO. Or should I? Also renixs were in 87-89 right? Thanks yall

So i really want to build a bed cage and head rack. I want a cage mostly for tree protection, but also for roll overs (i hope to god that'll never happen). I used some schedule 40 pipe to make a friends bumper and my harbor freight bender worked amazingly on that. It did a 40 degree bend with no kinks or dents. I was going to use schedule 40 for my cage, but then i thought to my self that i wanna look back on the cage and know its built right and strong. I wanna do it right the first time. Just wondering what kinda bender y'all have/use and if anyones tried bending dom on a harbor frieght bender? I'm gonna try it but I just don't wanna waste money on DOM. Thanks and if anyone has any pics of their cages, that'd be awesome.

I have napiers and they are amazing. I made a YouTube video about them and the owner saw it and commented on it. Doug Napier is awesome guy. One of mine is cracking but they're sending me a new one! I love this company

About a month ago I put in 4 new speakers, an amp, and a self amplified sub. I already had a ken wood deck. Everything worked great no problems what so ever, sounds amazing. Then, this last weekend I pulled everything out of my truck to bed line the floor boards. Once I put everything back in, I now have speaker whine. But when I unplug the RCA cables from the sub it mostly goes away. Theres still a tiny tiny bit but its not bad. My grounds are good. I haven't tried running a ground to the negative terminal on the battery yet cus i don't have that long of a wire, but other then that my bounds are really good. I even tried bare metal on the frame and it still whines. When the RPMs go up, so does the whine. This never was around before I yanked everything out. Anyone got any ideas? I've looked up some things, but still can't find a fix. And just about an hour ago, I switched the 2 RCA cables going to the sub to see if that helped and now my speakers won't play any sound but the whine. The amp and sub are on, but no sound comes out from speakers. I wanna take it into my local music shop to see if they can help, but i got no money right now. I've spent hours trying to fix this, but haven't gotten anywhere. Pretty fed up with it. Its all brand new and my RCA cables are high quality with thick shielding so i doubt they're picking up any interference.
