1987 comanche first car

Where did you get your control arm mounts? Did they come in a lift? I need to replace my stock control mounts. Just figured out that's part of the lift right? What size lift do you have? I pieced together my lift from a guide off of this website. It's a 5.5 inch lift though. They are control arm drop brackets from rubicon express -
Sway bar rubbing and links rubbing coils
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Pinion angle is fine but not I didn't adjust track bar. And did you mean to say the axle is to far forward? -
So awhile ago I was going on a dirt road and hit a pot hole. Ever since then my sway bar rubs on my bumper bolts and makes a knocking sound. It's on both sides but worse on drivers side. Also I put in new Control arms, upper and lower and they stretched my wheel base an inch or so. Now the links sometimes hit the coils and make an annoying sound. How can I fix all this? Could I take the sway bar out and shorten the ends a bit? I can fabricate pretty well. Is there any other good aftermarket options? Thanks and here's some pics. Oh and the rough country links can't go any shorter so no options there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't have one but I've seen those Cobras where it's all in the handheld mic. No box. Just Aires antenna and mic so it's really compact

I have a $#!& ton of wires going to my battery. I have a few to the fuse box but I have my sub, amp, lights, winch, train horn, PA system, and compressor. It's a mess. My jeeps Pretty clean inside and out but I'm always embarrassed to do people my battery area because it looks terrible. What can I do to make it look better? Thanks. I've heard of bus bars before but not sure how to go about it

Made a trip to walker valley. Nothing broke, but my battery died so me and a friend had to push my jeep and pop the clutch to start it. Also my fire extinguisher went off in my cab and made a huge mess. And one time I hit a stump really hard wit my front diff cover but luckily only the paint came off. The stock cover is a lot stronger then I thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Fixed lowers and adj. upper CA instal
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It's all done but the fixed lowers were longer so I had to remove wheels and use ratchet straps to twist and turn the axle. But it's all done now and I love how they look and function -

Thanks got the lowers in now workin on uppers. I think after all this my wheel base will be about 1- 1.5 inches longer -
I'm having s hard time putting in my fixed lower control arms. I got both stock ones off, but I can't get the new ones on because the axle isn't rotated right and it's too far to the right. I can get the rotation right with a ratchet strapped hooked onto bumper but the axle won't move left to right. When I try pullin on it, it starts pullin the whole truck off the jack stands. I used a kit from a local hardware store. And the light bar made my doors leak because of the mounts but once I build a roof rack I'll mount another one on the roof rack. It was a good light bar though. Lots of fun -
The parts manual doesn't even list an 18 gallon tank for the 87-90 longbeds, only 16 and 23.5 tanks. Some of the 87-90 shortbeds did come with an 18 gallon tank however. BUT, anything's possible......... Ya I have a 16 for sure I just thought maybe I was being dumb and it actually was 18. But would a stock 23.5 bolt right in on my long bed?

So I have a train horn which is obnoxious enough but I though a PA system with sirens would be fun too so I ordered the horn blasters 100watt PA system. Came in the mail yesterday so hopefully il have it in soon! -
I'm confused. I have a long wheel base but a 18 gallon tank. Do most have 23.5s with long wheel base

If ya look at my build thread you'll see that I already have nates 4x4 front bumper and rock sliders but I bought some rear bunker mounts from him a few moths ago and have supplies to make myself a new rear bumper. But it's just one of those things I haven't gotten around to doing haha

Ya I was thinking that but my friend didn't like the look of it so we left the red ones off

Next weekend were putting on a aluminum skid plate in that front slot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here ya go. I didn't really have to do any bends more then 25 degrees but this is the first bumper I've ever built and it turned out amazing! I love it. It's hard to see in pictures cause everything's black but it's awesome. It's on a 91 Ranger. The frame was bent so I beat it back to straight then used 1/4inch steel to box in about 6 inches of the frame for strength. The bumper is mounted from 4 positions off of the truck so its on there good. I used schedule 40 because it's mostly for looks. That's a 40 degree bend with no kinking or dents. When it gets nicer out I'll text my friend and try to get better pics. It was censored in my garage so I couldn't get the whole truck in the photo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pics or it didn't happen! :D I'll get some good ones this weekend when the bumpers done
