  1. When I redid my driveway I left a couple of pits with stone in them that I park over... Lets face it the RMS is a b*@$£ in all jeeps and it will leak if it doesnt already... the 2x3 patch of stone under my engine is great.. and when I work o the jeep I throw a sheet of plywood over it to save my back
  2. ... can explain this more... so basically If i use regular old duct tape to seal off holes and cracks in my floor, then coat it with por-15 I will have a sealed floor.. I'm not looking for beauty, just to keep the cold and mud out.
  3. Hey, thats funny I want two of these for my same Jeeps... I just can't justify shelling out that much for a silly in bed carrier when a swing away is near the same amount.
  4. bri, Ive been reading these posts on both sites... I would agree with eagle.. for simplicity and easy of install. The factory LS in the 8.25 is actually good... I have a 95 one in my shed that I drove around for a bit and it works real nice.. better than the stock one in my 8.8.. Even if the gears don't match up you could still plop it in and just don't use 4wd till you get around to the front. The LS in that thing wouod be pleanty for road driving. I would also give you that one but its a 27 spline.. ;)
  5. The V8 ZJ steering is a great cheap upgrade for XJ/MJ I6 models.
  6. I have several complete ones.. I could ship it out as fast as you want ot pay... $30 for the unit and pump... and whatever shipping you want

  8. They are the same jeeps, minus a bed. you will deff need the case of swapping for a ba10.
  9. I would like to convert my manual windows and lock to power. I have a full set of power doors, different color and damaged.. How do I get the motors out of the doors. They are riveted in. What will I have to do to remove and the reinstall? Is drilling them out the best way?
  10. yeah mines a V belt.. I think ill splurge the $30 and buy a new one.. is just the gasket ok, or do i need RTV?
  11. blew the H20 pump on my 86 2.5 today... the bearing siezed and the pully was shaking all over... are these water pumps the same as the 6 cyls.. I must have 10 of thoes laying around?
  12. the wheel cyl is fine.. i actually checked that already... the dealer does carry the brake line... and I have found them online... but who needs it! rather have it done in a day anyway.
  13. Eagle 100% correct!!! the rear lines on the axle tube have about 3 little pin holes on the passenger side. Do i need to by a direct replacment or can I use parts store bulk?
  14. Driving today I was gettign some water out of the bed and slammed on the brakes hards.. afterwards I have a really low pedal.. the brakes still hold tight and stop the truck, but the pedal is real low and feel unsafe. Any thoughts... I was going to bleed them, but ernesto is dampening thoes plans.
  15. I had a RHD cherokee I parted and junked about three months ago.. if it didnt go the crusher yet.. Ill call the yard tomorrow.
  16. i love my 2.5.... my MPG has never been better in a jeep and I have to say.. the power aint so bad turning stock tires... .... My MJ likes classic rock.. anything else might give it a headache... :D
  17. 1986 MJ .... miles keep racking up... nothing to report.. I LOVE THIS TRUCK! ohh yeah.. I'm putting in a CD player, thats about it... I think then my Crawl ratio is doubled ;)
  18. if you leave the perches the way they are, you inherantly do a spring over... Go for it!
  19. i have an old set of XJ doors... what you need from them.. take a pic and I will get it out for you.
  20. I saw one at the transfer station today in my town.. 196? Gladiator pickup.. rusty, loud, plow frame... Still I offered the guy $1000 for it and gave him my card... He was old enough to look like he bought it new ;)
  21. well i tried heat, cooling, 12 pt sockets.. whole nine yards... Then I had a bright idea ;) Took my 4.5 in grinder... ground the heads down, no heads, no problem.... only problem is now finding a new yoke  These bolts werent comming out in one peice.... small sacrafice.
  22. just call UPS and say you "refuse the shippment" they come get it.
  23. these are the bolts facing the yoke... no room to hit... but i did start soaking tonight.
  24. Trying to remove the front DS out of my MJ... the bolts holding the CV to the Tcase are frozen.. don't want to round off the heads.. any suggestions.?
  25. If it was designed by AMC its a Jeep! Anything else is up for argument. :D
