  1. just lookin on craigslist for cherokees, an for some reason clicked on the link for a blazer, but look what i found in the neighbors garage. Image Not Found Image Not Found might have to email them about there neighbors MJ :rotf:
  2. :agree:  o and :fs2:
  3. well we are in the search for a new motor, as really no one around here will pass it with the 4.3 in it
  4. the whole assembly really, the handle and the piece it mounts to on the outside of the window
  5. thats why i can't wait untill 2011, NJ is going to only emission tests, no more inspections. There is one shop i know of that is pretty lenient ;) . Might try an give them a shot an see what happens
  6. i haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but i'll try an figure out what it had.
  7. i was thinking the same thing. i would imagine it came with a 2.5 originally if they did this swap. The PO of the jeep had done the swap so there is no way of knowing what it did have. Still don't know why they would go but then again some people are :dunce: . Putting a 4.0 in wouldn't be too hard of a job, as long as the motor mounts an everything isn't modified :dunno:
  8. oil pressure sensor
  9. well just found out from my buddy that he took his 97 TJ to a shop to get inspected. its got some sort of lift an 35's, not sure on the specs of it, he bought it how it sits. The major problem with it is its got a 4.3 vortec swap in it an the shop he took it too won't pass him because of the different motor, and i'm sure the inspection station wouldn't like that too much either. The only thing i can think of is swapping a 4.0 back in, but i was trying to figure out how messed the engine bay is from the work to get the 4.3 in. Would it even be worth the work to get it back to stock, or should he just sell it out of state?
  10. not sure on the actual term, but my handle that opens and closes my DS vent window gave up the ghost and it's too much of hassle to fix it, probably not even worth it. Looking for one shipped to 07826
  11. i agree with eagle, whenever i do shocks on a non lifted vehicle i go with monroe or gabriel. They ride much better than an "offroad" shock. My MJ has rouch country shocks up front an beleive me i can see where they got the name. Replacing with bilstein 5100's
  12. New headliner, gauges, and trans mount :D
  13. i love rescue green, really want an MJ that color
  14. Finally i have something worth an update.... Had a very productive day in comanche land. Made $225 bucks  selling off my spare bed, bumper, and hitch, and also handed off a comanche club card to the guy so he should be stopping by here. I finally got my gauge swap done with the help of a new oil pressure sensor and temp switch Put the newly recovered headliner back in :clapping: . Looks muuuuuch better than the orange board that used to rain down pieces as i drove along. And got my trans mount swapped and didn't break any bolts
  15. yep, i'll be there
  16. Still my favorite truck on the site  . Congrats
  17. i got one
  18. The black with the chrome lip and the gray ones are pretty dang sweet lookin
  19. I guess thats a good way to cool the V8
  20. MJ's have a unibody, similar to XJ's, from the cab forward, however it is stronger. Behind the cab is a frame
  21. Search is your friend, lots of 4x4 swaps on here that people have done. Tires can go up to 31's on stock 7" wheels with some rubbing on the LCA's at full lock. Pretty much what all you want to do has been done multiple times, so search should come up with a lot of results to help. OH and 4.0's don't have a timing mechanism
  22. i've already started SOAKING them in PB, and luckily besides the floors the truck is pretty much rust free. Looks like i found something to do Saturday :D
  23. Looked underneath today and saw that my trans mount is beyond toast. Explains the rattling under my seat. Was wondering what would be easier, dropping the cross member or try and jack the trans up. I've heard the x member bolts can be a pain in the a$$, but once they are out it seems pretty easy and straight forward. Any thoughts?
  24. Gotta love :USAflag:
  25. Essentially yes, buy the MJ seats so you have the brackets, and the transfer over is pretty simple
