  1. The head lights themselves are all the same, H6054. There's a lot of companies who make an upgrade kit to replace the sealed beam. quadratec has a lot http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_02.htm
  2. Finally got it running again, starter relay went bad. Got it registered today. Tomorrow the exhaust gets fixed, sound system rewired, and put the dash back together. Then its time for some
  3. cracked exhaust manifold :dunno:
  4. those are all FEY bumpers, not bad, but definitley not the original
  5. Is this the ignition starter switch? because if it is, then its in a spot where i physically can't put my hands :wall: . Now i'm really out of ideas
  6. Now for my ignition switch, do i need an ignition switch or an ignition starter switch? I'm thinking its ignition starter switch, but i just want to make sure before I buy it
  7. One very big issue with the JCR bumper viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22565&p=233225&hilit=jcr+offroad#p233225
  8. I was just gonna say what Rob did. If you don't have the money for a big lift, don't skimp out. Even if you do have the money, big lifts are too much headache. A 3" or 4.5" is enough for me as long as its done right. I bought a pre lifted MJ, and will never buy something lifted again. Lifted 5" and aside from longer shocks and LCA's everything in the front was stock :ack: . The currie track bar helped a lot, but the stock steering makes me nervous sometimes. My new 89 will get a 3" lift and 31's, but with all good components to keep ride quality up. All in all big lifts are not budget friendly :smart:
  9. i know that :rotf: , was wondering where the OP is from
  10. where are you located?
  11. Hmm, i'll give that a shot. I'm really gonna tear into it this weekend
  12. I would for sure pay $100 for that bumper. I head down your way a lot any way so i could pick it up. Theres money to be had with the hitch also
  13. whatever you charge for the bumper i get first dibs  , i am really interested in it for sure
  14. :wavey: , I'm up at that lovely hour monday through friday, an up by 6 on saturdays. The money's nice, and I'm gettin used to the waking up early. I actually kinda like it now
  15. thats going to be this weekends work. my brother and I are going to go through an trace all the wires, an check power on all of them
  16. indeed it is, symptoms are no crank or anything. I have power to everything. Relay wasn't clicking, and neither does the new one. Not sure where to go from here
  17. i don't think the solenoid is my problem since it still won't start
  18. spliced the fuel wire into the solenoid wire. hooked everything back up and still nothing. i'm out of ideas :(
  19. i'm going to pick it up, guess i'll give it a shot. Guess I should splice it into the ignition wire?
  20. traced the wire some more, and found it does in deed go to the ballast resistor. so now i guess i need to find one with 4 prongs. this is gonna suck
  21. got that out of my chilton. I guess it could be fuel related, but i can not find one with that (F) prong. I just ordered one without, i guess i'll see what happens. I traced the wire as far as i can without taking anything apart, and it runs into the front clip near the PS headlight. I may tear the nose off an trace it farther.
  22. I'm in the process of changing out my starter relay in hopes that this is my problem. But of course that creates another problem :wall: . My relay has 4 prongs and a stud on it for connection points. The problem here is that every manual I read and every parts store i've gone to only have one with 3 prongs. Is this how they came factory? The manual I'm looking at has the stud labeled battery, and the prongs labeled (SOL) solenoid, (I) ignition, (G) ground. My relay has all these and an extra one labeled (F) Does anyone know what this is for? Can I bypass it? Red arrow points to the mystery terminal
  23. the only buckets that are direct bolt in are MJ seats. you can make xj seats, and possibly others work, using the factory MJ seat sliders
