The spacers moved the widest part of the center lights above the bump out on the lower part of the grill.

I'm easing back into my project, so I'll give everyone a heads up. Be prepared to be inundated with random pics and worthless posts.... We'll call this MJ RESTO TAKE II ....If anyone recalls, my Detours Bumper Brow had 2 6" Hellas and 2 5" Westin aux. lights. Since one of the 5" lights were broken I decided to try and use my Hella 700s I took off my TJ when I upgraded bumpers. The way the Detours light bar is made, Hella lights need to be spaced up slightly. I got one of my machinist friends at work to make me up some legitimate spacers.

You may have noticed my build abruptly stopped about 5 or 6 years ago. I've had to deal with some severe health problems, but the MJ and I are still here. I dusted it off today and the plan is to button all the loose items up and get this thing in for paint by the end of the year. Been a long time since I started this project, hopefully I can finish it up in the next few months.

Replaced the front calipers and rotors this past weekend. When I started to bleed them I discovered the main source of my brake problems. ..these pos braided lines I bought from PORC. The left front is completely collapsed and the right front and rear are both partially collapsed as well. Junk.
-
Bled the brakes again and then pulled the front calipers. I may be wrong, but aren't the pistons supposed to go back further than this?

Spent this afternoon cleaning 2 years of dust, antifreeze etc. off the motor and front end.

It's alive. First time the MJ has ran since I went down for major surgery 2 1/2 years ago. Did find a few items that need attention. Headlight switch is crap, have to wiggle it to make it work, the front brake calipers are stuck and most annoyingly the T-stat housing. Word of advice, stay away from the aftermarket housings this is the second one I've bought and they all leak. Go used or new Mopar.

A tree contractor 3 houses up was driving this one, first one I've seen on the street in a while.

I got most of my upgrade ideas right here. I appreciate the time you took to read through all this, hopefully she will be finished soon.

The engine looks good.

Odds and ends today. Including re-bleeding the brakes. Redneck one man brake bleeder.

The biggest news to date is I've found someone to do the paint and body. Tenative start date for him is in 3 weeks. My goal is to have this thing 100% drivable and 100% done before the end of (this) summer.

Nope, but I'm sure it would get done faster.

Head unit installed. Done. Needs adjustment, but the battery is about dead. Done with it for today.

I got tired of looking at the center vent pointed at the floor, so after installing my head unit I pulled all of them out. This piece of felt and one on the opposite side are all that hold the vent in position and deteriorate after time. Not felt tape, but the loop side of some HD Velcro is pretty close. $2 at Home Depot. Old felt tape cleaned away... and same size Velcro size in it's place. and no more floppy vents. Vents now work as designed. Quick and cheap.

The brake pedal pad is Mopar part number 52002749. Morris 4x4 has them for $3.99. http://www.jeep4x4center.com/brake-pedal-pad-automatic-transmission-52002749.html
