More parts. Russell brake lines including the ones for the rear calipers. Also got my first box from CavFab, Track bar bracket and mount.

With the right adapters, I think they'll look pretty sweet.

I'm sure you're right, both sites even use the same pics.

Today's addition to the parts pile. Metalcloak 4.5 springs. Top notch folks. Called me the day after I ordered them to thank me and let me know they were on the way. Plus some Prothane insulators

I considered a long arm kit, but I'm going the route you did. I'm going to use 12° North Industries MJ kit. Thanks for the congrats.

I picked up an open box HPS Short Ram Air intake (27-301WB) off eBay and installed it today. Hard to stay inside when it's 79 degrees.

I appreciate it.

With the fixed arms the wheel was no longer centered in the wheel well and the caster angle was all wonked up. The first piece for the ol' parts pile arrived yesterday. A 37 pound box of happiness from Core4x4. Big beefy pieces (some assembly required).

My original suspension set up was a RE 3.5 lift with fixed control arms. Later on, I added a spacer to the springs to level it out.

It's been a long time since I started this project, and it's been shelved several times over the years due to life and health issues. I'm now officially retired. Hopefully my enthusiasm and knees will hold up long enough to get this old girl back on the road again. I'm going to spend the next 4-6 weeks stockpiling parts to replace stuff that either just didn't work out or just needs to be upgraded. I'll post pics as stuff comes in and work as it's done.

Yeah those are mine, just throwing out some options.

This wheel will work you can buy it with or without the horn button. https://www.quadratec.com/products/96113_100.htm

Got most of what I need to do the lines in. Painted the PV bracket and bent and flared some lines for the master cylinder to the PV. Decided to go with Nicopp on the MC. Too easy to work with. Not OEM, but the best looking lines I ever made.

It's tough to find backer boards. I'd follow this guy's lead. He was installing an overhead console, he filled the gaps around the console with spray foam (that he later sanded down) the coated the entire backer with epoxy. Looks nice too. https://comancheclub.com/topic/59991-project-uncompahgre-19891999-mj/page/2/#comments

The new location makes for pretty much straight shots for the lines especially on the master cylinder side. Be safe and enjoy your holiday weekend.
-
Not really a thing of beauty, but it does give better access to the adjustment handle and a simplier and easier path to run the lines etc.

I've been on parts hold for a few days, just been getting the bits together to finish my brakes. Guy on the FB page hooked me up with the part numbers I needed to install the PV. They're a little short to use with the Wilwood bracket, but workable. I decided to look the rest of the lines over. The rear and right front line had quite a bit of rust so to avoid future issues I decided replace all the hard lines as well. Since I was replacing all the lines I decided to move the location of the PV. I ordered a different bracket, I didn't realize it would be as big as it was. The bracket I ordered. Mounted it was nearly 2 inches longer than the master cylinder. So I cut it down. I also sanded it down and plan on painting it my favorite VHT low gloss black. Mocked up.

Just remove the staples, the factory adhesive is only on the inside of the panel where the staples are. Page 3 of my build has pics of me redoing mine.

Water in passenger side footwell
JeffK replied to Virginia's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I found all my biggest leaks when I had the carpet and backing out, I covered the floor pans with sprinkled talcum powder. After a big evening thunderstorm followed the next morning with a good soaking with the water hose, I had nice little trails back to my leaks. I think Pete told me about that. My leaks were door seals, blower and the antenna grommet.
