  1. I picked this 89 up for $225 It is a 2WD, 2.5, 5speed. As you see, no rust on the bed side. Both sides look this good. Bad news is need floors and someone put a lowering kit on it. :fs1: Will be going back to stock height very soon and fitted with steel D-ring rims and 31 AT'S.
  2. As for asking my Pitbull, she looked at it and barked. I do not understand barking. :rotf: I was talking about the reservoir for the rear brakes being empty. Sorry I was not clear. I will look in DIY and do search about the porportioning valve. Thank for the info.
  3. I just got a 89 2WD with a 2.5. The P.O. said that one of the brake lines had a hole in it. He did not know witch one. So I started at the front and replaced the lines back to the T on the rear end. The brake pedal still goes all the way to the floor and will not pump up. Brake light is on. MC will be empty on the rear side. What would be the next step? Also why would one brake line go back by the rearend and than goes back to the front?
  4. I am getting a nother Comanche. It will need front springs and want to know if the 4.0L springs are the same size as the 2.5 and 2.8 springs? It has a 2.5 or 2.8 in it.
  5. After seeing what they went for, I need to get mine listed on there.
  6. Does Renix have to do with the 4.0 only or is it for the 2.5 also?
  7. What is Renix? I hope this does not sound like a silly question. Does it only have to do with the motor? Or does it have to do with the truck its self? Any and all info would be great.
  8. We were in Maine about 5 years ago and saw a plate that read OKFATSO
  9. I wish mine looked have as good as yours does.
  10. Do you still have the 4.0? If so how much? Would it work in a 87?
  11. I am in need of a 4.0 motor for my 87 Comanche I live in Indiana just south of Fort Wayne.
  12. Has anyone come up with an idea for keyrings that is going to be made yet? I would like to get one if the cost is not very much.
  13. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone
  14. A friend of mine said his flexplate was cracked. It is in a 2 WD 95 Cherokee with 4L and auto with O/D. Places are getting him a flywheel but he said that is not right. He said a flexplate is thinner and weighs less.
  15. I check my 14 year old sons grades about every 2 days. He lives with his mom and she does not tell me anything about how he is doing in school. I do have e-mail with his teachers and they let me know what he is working on for the weekend that I have him. Your mom and dad care about how you are doing in school. They want you to get good grades. Maybe they did not do well in school and want you to get better grades than them. If your grades are late at posting have your teachers e-mail mom and dad and tell them what your new grades are. It will show them your are getting better grades.
  16. Thanks for the great write up on this. I hope when I do mine it will turn out as nice as your's did.
  17. I can only dream that mine will look that good one day.
  18. Right now I 87 Comanche without a sliding rear window. If I get a sliding rear window how would I go about changing it? I did a search and did not find anything. If someone has a write-up on this, that would be great.
  19. I will be trying all of these fixes this weekend. I hope I come up with some heat when I'm done.
  20. I am wanting to get a Marine Heater. My heater does not work and have tried about everything to get it to work. Who sells Marine Heaters?
  21. You did a good job on those bumbers. I think they would look good on a MJ also.
  22. Was in Fort Wayne, In. And looking at cars with my son. I looked in the back lot and see a rust free Pioneer Comanche setting there. I ask the sales man what they want for it. He said they can not sell it because it was a $4500 Cash-For-Clunkers trade in. :headpop: I said what do you do with them? He said they look up the motor and send it to get crushed. My mouth was on the ground. I said you are going to take a rust free truck to get it crushed? He said " Just Say Thank You Obama"
  23. I wanted to say thank you for the info on changing a main rear seal in a 4.0 :D I changed it this past weekend. I did it like everyone said and the only trouble was getting the oil pan off the motor. After it came loose, I jacked the front of the truck up and oil pan slide out the back. :clapping: I now have a truck that does NOT mark it's spot with oil when I park it.
  24. A friend of mine has a 87-88 MJ with a 4 cylinder that is running rich. Every 2-3 weeks it starts fauling the plugs. He is going to put a new fuel injector in. Would this take care of the problem?
