  7. In my experiences a switch is a switch, but the ground is key, I would select a better ground than the bumper more towards the frame. You should use a relay for the lights, here is a WEB SITEthat should help you wire the lights with a relay. You're gonna use a standard relay, that you can pick up at any auto parts store. A quick run down however would be this On a standard relay you will have 4 or 5 post's to connect to, 85, 86, 87, 87A, 30, not all relays come with the 87A post. Posts 87 and 30 are the load side(lights, fan etc) of the relay Posts 85 and 86 are a low current side i.e. power coming from switch You will wire a 12 volt source to leg 87 then the hot side of the lights to 30. Then the 12 volts coming from the switch will goto 85 then ground post 86 of the relay. STROKER MJ
  8. $800.00 for a crank....WOW. All you really need is the crank from and old 258 4.2 block, 4.0 or 4.2 rods a source for a cam and pistons and a good machine shop. Wouldn't advise going bigger than a 4.6, the cylinder walls won't handle the heat, therefore cutting your longevity of the motor. STROKERMJ
  9. Alcan Springs with the SOA. STROKERMJ
  10. I'm a rock krawler fan myself, I am running their LA kit and it's definatley beefy. But then again I am still running my RE bar, so take it as it is. STROKERMJ
  11. "year" breaks in my experience don't mean sh!%, when it comes to the everyday parts store, even my parts guy has gotten me wrong bearings before, some manufacturers think they're all the same and produce them that way. I would return them and go thru the shelf and find the correct ones or just do a conversion and get rid of those things.... STROKERMJ
  12. That's how my 4.6 came to life... STROKERMJ
  13. Quick drain all fluids run it for about 15min and repeat. Did any H2O get in the intake, looks like it may have? I used to drive thru creeks in a local mud hole with my old XJ, flooded the motor with water drained it started it and the motor blew 3 days later sitting in traffic, all because I didn't change the oil....DOH....
