  1. :shake: Just sent another email for you Pete. Rob L. ;)
  2. Pete, the rolled MJ guy is up by Green Bay... Tis' a little trek beyond the IL/WI border. Rob L. :dunno:
  3. Updated list. automan2164 89eliminator Jeepdocdave $500MJ whowey 88MJXLS Jakeman17 JeepcoMJ Pete_M Geonovast Possum MCF90? My thoughts are to have everyone come over to my place to meet, and head over from there. The shop is about 20 minutes away from me. If you don't know my addy, shoot me a PM, and I'll shoot it back. Rob L.
  4. When I saw that truck, I was overcome with emotion. Then I... Well, you get the picture. Rob L.
  5. Wow. Just wow. Some pretty good fab work for just making a trail beater. Have you driven it with the springs inboard? Have you noticed any difference in the ride? Welcome to the group! Rob L.
  6. I have no idea where Brent got the idea we'd be wrenching... :dunno: I don't plan on any... Rob L.
  7. Sounds like this new XJ is all sort of fun for ya. Rob L.
  8. I think Brent is the only odd bird. :D LKQ doesn't even open until 9 AM. I guess I had just thought now, that maybe we could all kick off at this place, if it runs late, just get pizzas. LKQ is open until 6PM, so even if we end late, there is still plenty of time to swing by the Kilt on the way, or just skip it. Rob L.
  9. Yep, that'd be it. He has a picture hanging up, but I always forget the name. Rob L.
  10. Welp, looks like the executor would prefer to get an early start on things... She was wondering if we could kick this off around 9-10 AM... Everyone good with that? Rob L.
  11. Looks like she wants to start early, so I think we will be shooting for around 9 AM start time there. So far from what I have heard, this is the list of participants: automan2164 89eliminator Jeepdocdave $500MJ whowey 88MJXLS Jakeman17 Pete_M Geonovast Lenard More details to follow in the trip thread. Rob L.
  12. I'll agree with ya there Jim. I had a SWB that was a florida/arizona truck, and pretty clean. Had a "drop in liner" though, and rotted out the bottom of the bed in the back two corners. The "proper" way to install the drop in's is to silicone them in, to keep moisture out from underneath. Rob L. :smart:
  13. If it ran that great until you stepped on the brake, I would rule out the ECU. Check the grounds around the fuel pump. I think the rear lights and fuel pump share a ground behind the light, like you said. Check that. Rob L.
  14. Buy 'em both, put the '90 stuff in the '88, and the '88 stuff in the '90. Done deal. One looker/runner, one trail beating warrior rig. So I don't quite understand the problem. :dunno: Rob L. :D
  15. Does it have spark? Rob L.
  16. :shake: I'm sure the dealer won't charge much. If anything, walk in back, and find a guy willing to do it as a sidejob. If the dealer gets pissed/cops a tude, tell them that you wouldn't pay the dealer itself anyway, and to relax. Rob L.
  17. As long as you know what it is, does it really matter? Plan on selling it? :dunno: Rob L.
  18. Congrats. Rob L.
  19. Build a stroker 4.0L, or if you are looking for all that work to make a V-8 work in it, go for an '91-95 4.0L HO swap. Rob L.
  20. :agree: Most auto parts stores can suck it when it comes to repair advice. I do however, agree with Jim on the spring placement. Rob L.
  21. Ummm ... he wrote that he has an '88 MJ. It could not have a V6 (unless it was swapped in by an especially masochistic previous owner). An '88 will have (sorry, "should" have) either a 2.5L I-4 or a 4.0L I-6. Eagle, the 60 Degree v-6's have the same bolt pattern as the 2.5L. I think thats what he was getting at. I don't think he was recommending it, but saying these are what *would* bolt up, but you still need the harness and mounts from an '86 to make it work... Rob L.
  22. There is a link on how to post pics in the forum problems and ideas section. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11077 Rob L.
  23. The best way to clean the seat covers is to run them through the wash. Seriously. Take them off the seat with care, pre-treat them with some stain fighter, and toss them in. Do not use fabric softener as it will stick around for a long time, some members even would go as far as to not use scented detergent. Rob L.
