Yeah, she seemed sure about it. I'll see her again soon enough. I'm sure I'll be dragging home another project before long. Got my eye on a SC truck. It's an 86 but it's also an X and has just about every factory option.

The woman at NJMVC pointed to a sequence on the 2.1L VIN and said it was the 8th one built. Not sure how true that is. Would be neat if it was so.

That cat is my building buddy. Keeps a watch on the yard and outbuildings. He sleeps in the beds of any MJ that is under the carport. The parts dude is a member. Kkilmer87. Name is Kody. PM him with any needs. He will ship to you. I took a ride after buying some small stuff but it was cheaper to drive there than ship bumpers and bed liners for sure.

Hey, Dasbulliwagon, sprechen ze Deutsch? Not to jump in the Newbies light but does any position in the VIN tell you what number truck in production you have? Like first, tenth or last built?

Made a 222 mile road trip to Connecticut yestetday. Was worth every penny. Loaded up on all the interior parts I needed to finish the White Whale plus a bunch of extra goodies that drained my wallet! Contact Klilmer87. He is a one stop shop for all your needs. Thanks Kody!

Welcome. Yes, without pics you will get your lug nutz royally busted. Start out with some more details on your wagon. 8>

Have not heard from him yet. I'm not absolute sure it's a factory bar. It was on a Comanche but that don't make it original. Send me an email or text number and I can send a pic. I'm at 609-412-5935.

Have a SB roll bar and a pass side light. Not sure if it is a factory roll bar. It came off a SB MJ. PM me email or text & I'll send you pics. I'm in S. Jersey 08037.

DUDE! How ya doin? How's my boy making out? I saw your ad for the interior. Kilmer has a complete red interior I'm gonna grab. Dying it Honey/Tan for the diesel. Needed his parts for the center consol because the diesel has bucket seats. I was up your way a couple of weeks ago in Ohio picking up the replacement bed. It was so freaking cold, like 14 degrees and I just wanted to get back to Joisey where it was 40 degrees.

Sounds good. PM coming .

Can they all be same color to lessen the "shades" effect and how much? It should not cost too much to ship. Not a lot of weight involved .

Picked up a decent replacement bed from a member in Ohio a few weeks ago. THANK YOU MR. W! The horrified look on my face is what the toll taker saw on the Pa Turnpike when I was presented with the $50.50 toll bill. 350 miles one way. Found a cheaper way home to avoid tolls. Got the rotten bed ripped off and was surprised at how clean the frame rails were. The donor bed had some old dent repairs and Bondo on the drivers side that had to be torn out and redone. The cab corners are rebuilt and the floor pan is replaced. Now to attack the wiring mess in the dash. Nothing works accept the digital clock. Go figure.

Need both A & B pillars. Both kick panels. Both door jamb covers. Both over door headers. Behind seat cover. Center consol. Prefer tan but will take any color. Easy enough to paint. Pick up or ship.

Hey what did I miss here? IslandXJ was all happy on Oct about getting the diesel and now we talking about selling?!
-
Thanks again NHMJXJ for the pics post. Anything you need in the way of parts? Feel like I need to fist bump you back!

Keep an eye on this posting. If my frickin nerves get too jangled with this one I'll sell you the entire kit n' kaboodle. I normally don't buy them with this much rot but like you said, there ain't a lot of them to pick from. Some fresh pics are coming as soon as my Photo Pal has a chance to post them.

Replaced the front shocks and brake lines yesterday. Need a pair of stock height shocks for the rear. I ordered 4" lift shocks for all around before I realized that the lift in the back was achieved by flipping the leaf hanger to the top of the axle. Now my new extended shocks are too long! Oh well. Guess "measure twice and cut/buy shocks once" applies here as well as in wood working. The front lift is a home made beef up with what looks like Ford springs a few other swap meet parts. That's fine. Everything is nice and tight. Headed for Youngstown, OH first thing on Monday morning to pick up a replacement bed. The parts runner is trailered up & ready to go. Anyone need anything hauled between A.C. NJ and Ohio? There's room on board.

Hey automan2164. I've got some pics here of the throttle cable and the actuator that is disconnected. The cable for the cruise is cut too. Under that is another plunger type actuator that is seized up. WAS seized up. We sprayed it with oil and worked it with a small bar to free it. The coolant lines that led to it were also bypassed for some reason. We hooked everything up and got the motor warm. It stops, starts and runs beautiful when warm but a cold start only happens after the block heater is plugged in for 20 minutes. The relays for the glow plugs click on and there is current yet the lights on the dash are not working and the glow plugs do not seem to be operating. Have you had this problem in the past? (This is part of a forwarded message to Terry at Winnebago). THANKS! I've been gathering parts both body and motor in anticipation of some milder weather to get back into it. Nothing of consequence to report just now. I read that a little over 190,000 MJ were built. I have not seen a diesel production number in print but I have heard from a few others that there were about 70 sold? If anyone can verify or correct that number, please come forward. A few guys in the Club have given me some great tips and insights on this motor and I am eternally grateful.

Grazie tanto!

Hey! Need a rear main seal for a 2.1 L diesel. Any one sitting on one or know who has old stock? No luck so far.

There are several Marchal sets on eBay but very pricey. There are also used Marchsl sets listed, some starting at 60.00. Check it out. The ROL lights are crap.
