  1. A few months?! That's one hell of a back up. Funny how he didn't mention that he was backed up until after I sent him the money..
  2. I will, I hope it doesn't take too long though.. My truck is idling like crap right now and I'm too scared to mess with anymore wires without having the replacement ones.
  3. I finally got and then got around to installing my new 60mm throttle body on my truck! Fuzzy red pj's not required, but help. I definitely noticed some more power, measured with my butt dyno only though. At the same time I cleaned up the dipstick ground and noticed my idle is now a tad low like it wants to stall but won't. I adjusted the TPS as instructed and it hasn't changed. I wonder if I jostled some wires loose or caused some old ones to crumble. But I ordered a full 4 gauge wire set from Kelley swip.com so I hope that helps.
  4. Damn, I just had it open today..
  5. Really? I was going by the d30-488tj assuming that the "488" was the gearing. Isn't there a way to check gearing by just rotating one of the wheels? I know how to for rear axles, just not sure for fronts.
  6. But It was a pain in the butt to swap that one in in the first place..
  7. Well I'm not wheeling it so I don't care if it's LP or HP And either way I can sell the gears or the whole axle, which should net some decent money. But I just need one to put in it's place first..
  8. This summer I bought a Ford 8.8 with 4.10 gears and limited slip (that I verified) which came with a LP D30 that was suppose to have 4.10s in it too. Well soon after that I was moving to a new place with much less storage so I installed them both in a hurry with out installing the front driveshaft. Today I decided to change the gear oil and double check the gearing before I put the shaft in just to be safe and sure enough, if I'm reading it right the gearing is 4.88.. So now I have to decide if I want to regear the axle that's in it, or swap another one in.
  9. Since it heated up from 3 degrees yesterday to 35 degrees today, I finally got mine installed! It feels almost too tight (in a good way) I can't wait to test drive it tomorrow. Before: After:
  10. Are the seats black?
  11. I can attest to him being a great person too. He pickes me up a part and fronted the cash for it. Then when I went over to pick it up he gave me a LWB bed liner for free just because he doesn't like lobgbeds.
  12. When I ordered mine, I just called and asked them about the discount. I think it was around 5% off.
  13. Thanks for all the replies. It seems I'll have to get these at the hardware store since the only place I could find them online wanted $30 for them..
  14. Hello again, with it finally snowing here for real and my not being able to get up the hill to my house without 4WD, I figure it's finally time to get around to putting my front driveshaft back in. The only my problem is, I lost the bolts for the transfer case side.. Does anyone know what size they are, or have a spare set laying around? Thanks.
  15. I was in the McDonald's drive thru when a guy came over and asked me if I'd be interested in selling it. I told him thanks but no. I've put way to much work it for that.
  16. Stop tempting me dammit! lol How hard is the install on one of these? I've never had to mess with a shifter before.
  17. The heck are you getting?
  18. I have to work other wise I probably would. You picking up parts?
  19. Where are you going?
  20. Yeah, they also had a deal with a group buy for them before.
  21. You have to call them and they'll give you a small discount. Mine came out to $205 each but that may change for some reason.
  22. I towed my LWB MJ WITH 31" Some 500 miles home using just a tow dolly and a Jeep Cherokee with 270k on it. :D
  23. Update So I made this post the day I bought the leaf springs, and to my surprise they showed up on doorstep the very next day! I don't know how they made it from Kansas to Pittsburgh so fast.
  24. I found them OEM and cheaper on eBay. Now I just want to pick up a pair of nuts for the rear in case I have to cut them off.
  25. What about the rear bolts in the shackle, are they the same too?
