That's nothing. My brothers girlfriend (19) just had her 3rd child. Not all by him, of course. (More than likely, none.) Are they TRYING to get onto MTV's Teen Mom show?

Well, at least he came in second... -
Nah, I called dead serious. They explained that the advertisement was a fake and they would not honor it. When I told them that wasn't my problem and I was on my way and they should get my free Burton snowboard ready, they hung up.

FusionBB... do we want this for our new forum software?
terrawombat replied to Automan2164's topic in The Pub
You need to keep in mind that there are hundreds of templates for fusionbb that can be used to change the layout and design of the site. I'd venture a guess that there is probably a template that could get us close to how CC looks now. Edit: Ok, maybe not hundreds. I thought fusionbb was more widely used, but it looks to have a pretty small user-base. -
I called about my free snowboard. They hung up on me.

Yuck. vBulletin is crap. From a user or administrative standpoint? I've never run a vBulletin site, but I've never had any complaints as a user. It's chock-full of features and I think it's capabilities dwarf what we have here, but rightfully so since it's so much more $$. -
FusionBB... do we want this for our new forum software?

Almost all (including the phpBB we currently use for CC) can support "attaching" images to posts. The problem lies in the amount of bandwidth that ties up on the server end. When you "attach" your photo to a post, you're uploading it to the forum server. We would have to increase our bandwidth and storage capacity to support such a thing and that is $$$. I've run several forums in the past and I can tell you that allowing members to attach photos is not a good idea. My domain provider had this nice little clause in their contract that said if I go over my monthly allotted bandwidth, I get charged overage fees. So, imagine my face when I saw that some dickhead member on my forums decided to upload a bunch of uncompressed images from his Nikon SLR camera at 1.5Mb a piece. I think he uploaded somewhere around 500 photos and he did it on purpose because as a means to "get me back." I say we keep images off of our server and let someone like photobucket or imageshack deal with the bandwidth issues :D -
You just put alphanumeric Youtube code in, not the whole link. E3q30q5Nf9s What does the Quietcar run per bucket?

I'm going to call about my free snowboard.

Sticking my hand into a garbage disposal always gives me the chills. I watch too many scary movies.

The problem is that with the three female room mates I have had in the last six years, anything house related is assumed to be MY priority, not theirs. Here is my favorite - and sorry to the OP for taking this off topic - I come home after class one day and I smell something funny - like something burning. I notice a tiny bit of smoke coming up from the floor so I run down to the basement to find one of the electrical junction boxes in the basement was arcing every so often. I immediately killed the breaker to it and inspected it. The receptacle somehow had an internal short and the 15A breaker it was on didn't pop. I counted my blessings that the damn house didn't burn down and replaced the breaker and the receptacle. My room mate comes home and I told her what had happened and she says, Oh yea, I had my hair dryer plugged into that the other day and it stopped working and I started to see some smoke come up from the floor, so I went up to the bathroom and finished blow drying my hair. And you didn't tell me because??? Oh, I forgot and I was late for class and my hair was still wet. *sigh*

The above quote is why I hate living with females. Yea, thanks for knowing about the problem and not doing a damn thing about it or even attempting to begin cleaning it.

Even the Superbowl will be going "green" this year. Green Bay vs. Jets in the SB. Green Bay to win it all.

LoL. I did that this summer for four days. Got lots of reading done and never once was called on.

There's a bellhousing in that video? All I see is a big glob of oil and dirt that seems to be moving.

I must be doing something very wrong. My 1,200 Sq. Ft home runs about $200-$250/month to heat on natural gas during the winter. That includes hot water heater and dryer with the thermostat set at a steady 68*F. Back when I was on oil heat, the guys that would come fill my tanks would ask me if I needed them to start the furnace up for me. If you're home, might want to see if the guy filling the tank would do the same for you, if it's needed.

I've heard a ton of complaints about the HF jacks leaking. I guess I got lucky as mine doesn't leak at all, but my Craftsman does leak a little bit. I've used my Craftsman on MUCH heavier vehicles, though. Vehicles that were pretty darn close to the maximum weight limit of the jack.

I've got a 3-ton Craftsman - had it for 6+ years - works well - no complaints I also have a 3-ton Harbor Freight - had it for maybe 3 years now - also works well, but has a very fine window of adjustment when you're lowering a vehicle. You can either have it creep down at a snails pace or have it come crashing down like a bag of bricks. BTW, I think it's currently on sale for $50. Pretty good deal. It's a three-piece coupon... http://images.harborfreight.com/cpi/ema ... n21_01.jpg http://images.harborfreight22.com/barco ... 2014530000 http://images.harborfreight.com/cpi/ema ... n21_05.jpg

1. Soft tops Jeep are absolutely considered convertibles. 2. The CJ-8 Scrambler has a hard top that can be removed and hidden (like in my garage).

M715  It's a bit of a stretch, but the CJ-8 Scrambler was a bit of a truck convertible :D

There is an inherit, unexplainable fear that animals have of other animals. Can't really explain it. Why are elephants afraid of mice? Who knows, but they are. Why are people afraid of snakes? Well, probably because we were taught at a young age that certain snakes can bite and kill you in a short period of time. I'm not afraid of snakes, I just don't like the way they feel and slither around on your body - it makes me shiver. I always feel like they're up to no good. I'm sorry to hear about Dutchess. Was she a husky?

To Zeke - a cat is something that is eaten for dinner. NOM NOM NOM

I'm sure lots of the original Jeep guys that made it through the Chrysler merger back in the late 80's and early 90's are retired or long gone. What you have over there now is an influx of young designers/engineers that are conforming and just doing what their boss tells them. Not much originality left...

That doesn't look so bad...
