  1. that looks like its more on the 8" side... stock flares with 34s.. don't appear to have been raised at all, just cut off in the front. badass truck man. thats a good find.
  2. hope you don't mind my asking... but HOW THE #)(&@ did you blow a np231 on 36s with a stock powerplant!@?! theyre rated for a rediculous amount of torque.
  3. nice project... comin along well i see. this looks like the easiest front leaf conversion ive seen so far. i really don't wanna deal with control arms sooo thats what I'm lookin at doing.
  4. ouch.. thats no good. look for 90- t-cases. they should be 21 spline.
  5. definately need something different for the control arms than regular short arms at 6+ inches alot of people don't like the rubicon drop brackets cause of the loss of clearance... but like you said. thats what the YJ is for. and the extra flex/whatnot will make up for the lack of clearance.
  6. yeh bounty is right, mums country has one of those.
  7. imagine the same exact thing but red and thats what mine look like :brows:
  8. my brothers got 33s on his 35 with a loc-rite and we were wheelin the livin #%# out of it yesterday.. 4lo at about 3k rpm tryin to make up a wet rock/mud hillclimb :dunno:
  9. nice nice, went wheelin yesterday on some west ga (almost alabama) powerline trails... pretty nasty hill climbs and off chamber wet rocks... just my brothers XJ though. can't wait to lift my MJ... i hope it turns out like yours!
  10. when i did it i bought new injectors (set of 6) from five-o motorsport and they came with new o-rings on them, just pulled the fuel rail off the old ones, pulled them out, tossed them out, vasolined the o-rings (to make it easier to pop them in) put them in put the clips back on that hold the connectors on, and put the fuel rail back on.... viola! real easy... just expensive.
  11. i have that same click... funny how i also have a pukegoat ;) i think thats what mine is at least.
  12. why did i think you were from atlanta... who's joined lately that was from atlanta? I'm so confused
  13. ive got mine on the dash run to the radio fuse in the fuse box, little to no interference from the engine... and grounded to a random screw under my floormat. cable run through another random hole in the floor that happens through the frame? and along the frame with zipties to the back bumper (102" whip antenna) fabbed up a brace that is bolted in with the tailgate latch that keeps it from hitting the truck, and or flopping too much. great range, hardly any noise, fairly inexpensive radio shack one. ill snap some photos tomarrow.
  14. WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO got the modine 3-core unit in today took about 1 1/2 hours start to finish (with time for my brother to argue with his gf, and me to run up and down 3 flights of stairs to look at jeepin.com and or get water/drinks) truck runs at 185-210!! i drove 90 miles at 65-75mph up and down hills and never pushed past 190 easssiest part i have ever changed. definately pulling it out next time i do a waterpump. going to cut the old unit open and see the damage... the damage to the outside fins is extensive..lots of caved in places and damaged fins. oh and modine made the OEM a/c condensor on my heep, so I'm guessin its good quality stuff. yeah, i usually have fill it all sorts of weird ways until I'm sure it won't accept anymore fluid then drive it for a day and add as needed.
  15. is your manches odometer in kilometers? how in the world did it end up in our neck of the woods?
  16. :jump:  :rotfl2:
  17. not converting to open, and don't have a temp sensor at the back of the head ;) (yeah, thats a PITA) ive never had much of a problem with burping the coolant. usually just run and fill and run and fill til it stops takin fluid... can't really explain my process but it works alright so far :D
  18. WOW! she's a beaut!
  19. if my gas gauge is near accurate I'm pulling 15 right now (but thats alot of short traffic filled trips)
  20. definately not stock...just got done evaluating needs for my new 3-core, my 89 has a plug in the rad just above the lower hose with wires coming out of it.
  21.   most of the time my truck barely pulls 220 out of a tank in normal day-day driving with no weight in her. (but atl area traffic is rediculous soo)
  22. SHEESH i got ripped man. 1400 for a puegoet, a cooling problem, leaky injectors, and death wobble ! :hateputers: (I'm in the boat with MOparRobbie... i was either a couple months old... or not born yet when my 89 was made :brows: ) EDIT: i just estimated the total amount ive spent on my truck between cooling problems, origional price, and the injectors. bout 2000
  23. yeah i refer to the tank as the turtle so you're right, that was A problem...big ole crack. and I'm not sure what exactly it is but i do know that i ordered it at 4:30 yesterday and free shipping it was on my doorstep thism mornin at 10:30  its all painted so I'm not exactly sure what metals and such. its a modine 3-row
  24. that thread was someone elses, basically same though, didnt wanna jack it (and i wanted quick answers cause idk how much longer i can wait and still get it tomarrow first thing) :brows:
