  1. Now how about some serious input. I'd like to follow this thread if it was serious, I'm in the beginning of an engine build myself and would like any serious input. 92 HO motor for HO conversion in the 87.
  2. My elusive drivers side "clunk" was the TB to frame mount itself. Finally found it when I seen the wear marks around the bolt holes, looking up from the ground. My fix, tightened the bolts then tacked both sides and verticals to the frame.
  3. First make sure there are no issues with MC so you don't have to do it again. IE:leaks Then, just like brakes, pump it up, hold it to the floor, open, close. do it again. Bleeder exits bell housing where pressure line goes in. Make sure MC stays full.
  4. Beg to differ. Might as well do the timing chain while you have the timing cover off also. Don't think it is a good idea banging on the timing cover to replace the seal without being supported from behind. Others might disagree, but to me makes perfect sense. I wouldn't touch the seal unless it was actively leaking. Don't fix it if it aint broke. How many times we heard that?
  5. Where did you get the 2.5? A reputable source? :agree: On pulling the Tstat. No coolant was in the oil or vice-versa? I would kind of lean towards a bad head gasket. Possibly feel that you picked up somebody else's problem.
  6. How long been sitting? Old gas maybe?
  7. I bet I get $150 bucks for my extra set of lebaron vents before you get the same for yours. 5.9, etc..
  8. Never thought about this before, you know that is how I will do it in the future should the need arise. thanks
  9. Apologize for no pics or anything today. Gonna have to wait till this weekend as I'm a little overextending myself. Tomorrow is my Bday and finals are coming up very fast.
  10. Here is my solution. Best I can do to help, might work for some. When I got the Chief, the center pane was busted out (was 3 piece). I replaced it with another slider. I propose a thread where those that have slider pieces can offer them for whatever. I'll start, I still have the old slider that was replaced here. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19487 The glass will come out but the frame has to be disassembled to do it. Either pane is available for offers under a million bucks, plus shipping. can't really send the whole frame unless you really want it. Probably cost a million to ship it. not really worth it as used sliders are still out there for a lot less. I'd prefer to only let the glass go as needed IE: I need the left side.
  11. Alright guys you forced me to do it, just kiddin, I told Brandon that I'd take some other pics for him. This will be easy enough to do while I'm at it. You need to understand that the only pics I can't take are the inside of the VC. Easy enough though, when the VC is off you will see 2 tower shaped protrusions. You drill the 3/8" hole midway up each of these. What is happening here is the tower is too close to the head, when the crank case sees vacuum or pressure, oil is sucked up or pushed up these tubes. the holes allow them to vent above the oil on the top of the head. Stay tuned for the rest of the story tomorrow.
  12. Sorry Brandon, didn't get the pics today. Had to go to the river and get water and sediment samples to run PCR on. (See if anybody knows what that means) Got some pretty decent easy to make drip pans also. Tomorrow. Not like free beer tomorrow either.
  13. They probably stole them over here and are driving them illegally over there. Once an illegal, always an illegal. :rotf:
  14. :rotf: :shake:
  15. From CC itself viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11077
  16. U got a pic? BRandon Just realized I don't have any, I'll post a few tomorrow evening.
  17. oh hell ,did you put him in a trash compactor first ? :rotf: ??i have some free Cherokee sport in my mj -almost none of the holes on the chair base -fixed by drilling one hole on front and use extension nuts to level out the front -back is a pain with muti-hole steel bar is easy way to mount ..... Not sure what your saying, are you meaning that you got the rocking chairs to work, but lower? BTW thanks for the laugh, I needed that. (Visualizing my friend)
  18. Sure you can, just cut and weld the other end. Did on mine to 44 45 something inches.
  19. Two historical wrongdoings helped build America, make America great, and what it is today. One, taking the land from the Indians. Two, slavery. If either hadn't happened, I probably couldn't voice my opinions today. Come on let's get it together, there are a lot more important things that we as Americans should be bitchin about, other than English speaking language (spoke with a sneer) childish......
  20. Lebaron all the way. Besides they are what I have on my Chief and they make it look pretty tough.
  21. Bull sheet! It's a free gawddamm country and I will say whatever I want to and speak whatever I want to. It'll be a cold day in hell that I let someone pass a law limiting my First Amendment Rights. I'll settle it, give America back to us Indians. For whom we all know it rightfully belongs! Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Kemosabe

    Sad Day

Mojo,(the Red Heeler in my avatar) My friend and companion of 10yrs went away today. I had to have him euthanized today. He went deaf a short time ago, he had tumors growing on his body. 5 days ago he stopped eating. Told myself I don't want to post this, but then I realized he is in my avatar and in some pics of my builds, he deserves to be remembered here also.
  23. 96 has that funky slip joint boot thingy on the end of the TC. Different length output bearing retainer housing. = shortened driveshaft. That would work with the right DS off the 96 up. Where are you going to find a 96 MJ? Rigghhttt..... Back to fabrication.
