  1. There are less expensive, and Bright Alternatives. I have a set of 110/90W bulbs in my 89. The light output is great!! Cost was about $20
  2. 4Dr XJ Seats usually don't have the Seat Backs that "Tilt" Forward, Whereas the 2dr XJ Seats need to, in order to allow access to the Back Seats.
  3. Have you made any Investments into a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual?? I have found mine to be a great help with Wiring & Troubleshooting.
  4. I've talked to the local guy, I was planning on getting my decals from. He stated that he is willing to do the lettering and give me the Letters & the Cutout, so I can have the letters painted on.
  5. I got mine off evilbay a few years ago. Before the $$ went out of control. I'm starting to go through some local parts yards, I'll take a good look for you.
  6. I am needing to Repaint my 89 MJ soon. I have thought about the Issues with the Striping too. Finally Decided to Paint the Large/Long Stripes, having a Local Vinyl Sign Maker do the Lettering. This way, I can afford to get several sets made and sell what I don't use. Possibly make them in several different Colors.
  7. I'm in need of a new set of Leaf Springs. 5 Leaf package. I know there was a Co. in Pa. that gave a great quote, and an Install & buy the used springs deal. I just wish I could remember who it was. Can Anyone Help??

  10. There is a listing on EVILBAY for some, made in Poland. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-CHEROKEE-XJ-SPOILER-SUN-VISOR-/181375366980?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  11. You are right. However, You had put up the pic. I remember those things being associated with the Ignition on old Dodges & Plymouths. Had a 67, when it would be raining, would run like crap.
  12. Hey gogmorgo & hornbrod, You were right!!!!! The Fuel Ballast Resistor is Shot!!! Thankfully this was it!!! Now She is running like a Raped Ape Again!!! Lesson Learned.
  13. Can Anyone here tell me, Did Glasstite ever make a Topper (Bed Cap, Camper Shell) for a Comanche??
  14. I hope I didn't do that. Cheapest I found was on Evilbay, $30 Locally they are $70 - $85 The rough part is I am trying to sell a Saturn VUE now.
  15. Thank You Very Much!!! I had a feeling about that thing, thought it was something else. I Appreciate the help!!!
  16. I can't find anything in the book about the Fuel Ballast Resistor. I found 3 on NAPA website. Where would I find this & How do I Test it??
  17. 89 MJ Pioneer. 4.0l, Auto, 4wd. Lifted about 7" suspension, with 33's.
  18. Don't hear pump get up to pressure, at turn of Ignition. There is no pressure at Fuel Rail.
  19. I was a dumb @$$ and ran the tank dry. I was distracted, with good cause. Truck sat about 15 min with ign on, like she was running. Now, I have no fuel pressure. Starts & runs with start juice, then nothing. Do I need to replace the fuel pump straight out, or start somewhere else?? She was run dry before, but no issues when I added fuel to the tank.
  20. I think that you should look into a Package Deal, which some makers offer. Made Especially for the MJ. When I was searching, I found a few at around $900 for the Whole Package. For Now, I have mine lifted about 6" with SA front and a SOA in the back. I got extra Shock Plates for the Rear, cut-out the Axle round, Mounted between Axle & Springs. Works Great!!
  21. I found an estimate from 2 different Stereo Install shops. Radio is a Single DIN size face. Front Speakers (Replace Factory) 5-1/4 Round in the Door Rear Speakers (Replace Factory) 4x6 Oval Behind the Seat There was a Note for Optional Location Possibilities. Needed to talk to Install Tech. 1 Shop had given an Option for Speaker Boxes, Instead of in place of the 4x6 replacement. My Past Experiences, Good Quality Speakers & Head Unit outweighs the Amp/Subs option.
  22. Crutchfield has the Factory Specs for the Speakers and Style of Stereo. Original Sizes - Doors are 5-1/4 and behind the Seats is 4x6. Single DIN Stereo. Anything else, is your choice. I checked thoroughly, and this is what I found to be true.
  23. Just want to know..... Were ANY Comanches made to be RHD in the US??? There is a guy on the fb Comanche group, who is looking to bash a 2000 XJ with an MJ.
  24. With the POR15, the Prep is a BIG PART!! I have the Cleaner and Prep Solutions. I have used this in places where Rust is a typical issue. I have not had any trouble with noxious smells or bad smells, after it has fully cured. This stuff actually get a harder finish, with a higher humidity level. I usually applied it Before a storm system was coming in. The first thing I used it on, still looks like it was just applied (after a good washing). I have used it on my MJ, and then used their "Tie Coat", then finished it, like any other body work. Looks Great after 3 years. Still can't tell the difference. I Swear by this stuff, just don't cut corners.
  25. Looking Really Good!!!
