MiNi Beast replied to MiNi Beast's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
just replace it couple months ago though. But it lost the bolts in it down the road so maybe banged around and knocked something loose on the inside. -
Finally started damn CPS!

Ok got the new ignition switch after it died going down the rode again. But this time it was the crank sensor being loose. So fixed thAt and put new switch in but now it only cranks and dosen't start. Dosen't even want to start it seems. I pulled spark plug and checked for spark, got spark. Smelled gas on plugs so got gas there as well as in the fuel rail. Check the ignition switch and seems to be in right positioning. So don't know where to go from here. Any help please. -
Finally started damn CPS!

Well now the damn just shut down going down the road. Try-ed to start but didn't start up. Apparently no gas. Used clip wires and jumped fuel line to battery full 12 volts. Started right up and ran, with a higher idle but got me where I needed to go then shut it down and scared the $#!& out of everybody when she backed fire. Like a damn lawn mower when you disconnect the spark plug wire. So figuring it's the relay or ignition switch considering I no longer have to use my keys to drive it. What do you guys think? Anybody want to buy her?? -

replaced filter, egr good, wires good and ran right, have yet to check pressure. But acted up even worse and checked CPS again it was lose, so tightened it back up and ran like $#!&. Where Drive in reverse no problem but in 1st it stumble and stall out giving it gas. So losened it back up and was able to drive it home and it hiccuped twice. So thinking its the positioning of the CPS. Messing with it tonight have to drop crossmember to get to it better. -
never ran mirrors just the reAR view mirror. But like it's been said check laws. I never had a problem with the cops I even gotta thumps up on the highway. But technically if the vehicale came with mirrors then it is to have them. BUt you see Wranglers riding around with no doors and no mirrors. Hope that helps. But I also seen tube doors with built in mirrors otherwise :agree: just get a rain gutter one for those days with no doors.

 4.0 with puke and she's has a hiccup going down the highway. HAs new cps, tune up, coil, no lose vacum hoses, new fuel filter, recent fuel pump, Does it after get in fifth and little when go down to fourth. Idle is high but that to me is normal always been that way. THis hiccup problem just started in the last two weeks. Where I replaced the listed parts. Only thing I have to say for problem is a loose down pipe connect to header, happened today haven't been able to tighten yet. But could that be it? Any help please?

mini beast Project: Stock To Beast!!!
MiNi Beast replied to MiNi Beast's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Fall Colors tour 07' with 22 other Jeeps on the last of the nice warm days. Found the mud during the end of day so not much time to play. But me and two other jeeps gave it a shot. And MiNi Beast made it further then the other two jeeps with 2 bald turxs m/t and only two wheel drive. -
Either way, driver should of let off the gas when was going up. But If this was a inexperienced driver the spotter should of been more cautions. I'd be pissed either way if my jeep flipped and rolled. But good for them about the whole settlement thing. But Isn't the whole point of a roll cage to protect the people rather the jeep? Hoping no one was hurt. If so didn't the roll cage do it's advertised job???

Solid!!!! Jeep Rocks, Drive it Beat it :thwak: Fix it :wrench: And Repeat :driving:

Stock Manche needs a lift!
MiNi Beast replied to auto-matik's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well, first what do you want to do with the truck? What you want lift for? Just bigger tires? LOOks? Weekend wheeling? Hard wheeling? What give some idea of what your going for and people can help you out. -
Ah, so. In that case, the driver IS responsible. Nope, watch yetr again, spotter did not give directions soon enough. So spotters fault, he shall pay!!!!!!!

Hey get a 4.0 then I can help better!

Well pretty much the same. The bolts aren't ubolts, they are stright and clamp down the springs, so wouldn't see much of a difference in strength. Just a loss in ground clearance. And I welded my pearches too, it was way cheaper and can add a block if wanted too later on. This set up is really for someone that isnt to mechinacal and wants some height for little bigger tires mearly for looks and maybe some occasinal offroading. I know some one will argue this, cause they run this or know someone who does, I've seen this setup and she works. But it's my opionion on this. When I first got my MJ I was considering this same lift but after some reshearch found that this was not a good option overall for the long term on this truck.
