  1. is that an airbag I see?
  2. everyone should get a dash cam. cheap insurance against the idiots out there.
  3. aftermarket. I bought a pair back in the late 90s. still have them.
  4. angry eyes get a strong eye roll from me. I honestly thought that fad would have died off by now...
  5. (In my head) it's the newer (or more stock) Jeep's owner that should instigate the wave.
  6. it's an old truck made from old parts and old wiring. every day will be a roll of the dice. But there are plenty of guys on here that are working hard to keep the odds heavily in their favor with new parts and preemptive maintenance. a little forethought can go a long way. (also avoid the chinesium as much as possible)
  7. b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! I have that same mirror!
  8. the ride is currently in its holiday overlay, soooo.... elf hats? I'm not sure.
  9. many moons ago. It's kinda been a lawn ornament since then as other projects have taken priority.
  10. yeah, preeeetty sure he doesn't have the Black Ram 1500 Sport Group
  11. what all is available in your area? willing to move?
  12. A Comanche was my first vehicle too! (sorta, had a couple hand-me-down Fords ahead of it) Still have her 23 years later! I would stick to the basic maintenance until you've got a handle on what all she needs. Keep reading and learning, especially make sure you cover all applicable Cruiser's MJ tips found near the top of the link in my signature. And don't forget to take her to car shows!
  13. Been trying to snap a pic of this guy for YEARS! This is on the Jungle Cruise in Disney World and normally it is very dark in the cave section and the animals inside are dimly lit and the boat is in constant motion (and you have to be seated on the port side) and that all equates to blurry images. but this time it was at night and the boats are equipped with their own outward projecting lights and the driver failed to turn them off for the cave! had to time it juuuuust right for when the spotlight hits the big cat and bammo, lifelong dream achieved.

    Need help

10 total posts and the classifieds will open up to you.
  15. I challenge that "rust free" statement after 3 Massachusetts winters.
  16. excellent I was thinking the body colored parts and the silver strip on the rubber side trim would indicate that, but the rims were throwing me for a loop. The truck would have come with the 10 hole rims from the factory. also your grille is upside down.
  17. awww... that would indicate a Peugeot (from the factory). the AX-15 came in on March 10. you should post up in tech asking if it's an Eliminator. hopefully somebody will spot something that wasn't available on a well optioned Pioneer. Either way it's a sweet truck!
  18. new gaskets make it feel like a new truck
  19. you're not the first, you won't be the last. lots of great info in it.
  20. and be sure to add in your location and then some details about your truck into your signature. also, old radios look good even in newer Jeeps. This is an 92? XJ radio in my '06 Liberty. Minuit's taking a break from the radio stuff because of work, but eventually I expect him to be back in the saddle and adding in AUX ports like he did to mine. And I have since added a bluetooth dongle to that port which makes my 25 year old radio more modern than my 13 year old Jeep's original. (that cable under the unit is for charging my phone when it's in the cubby)
  21. Hit the junkyards! XJs are still out there
