won't be any decals or orange paint for this one (besides the engine paint). Although I have a 9 year old nephew that would think that was sweet. Dixie horn might be cool though :brows: Color will be 2004 chevy victory red.

oldrusty replied to oldrusty's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well here's an update on my sick renix. I rechecked the fuel preesuer and according to the fsm it was dead on. So I went ahead and ordered a new tps. Pulled the throttle body off and gave it and the iac a good scrubbing( truck had been having some erratic idle issues). I reinstalled the throttle body and adjusted the new tps and..................She runs great again!!!!   Thanks for all the help guys.  -

She started right up though.....(made a lot of funny noises I never heard before). Now if shell just take me home again. here's a couple pics of the old girl workin again yesterday in the daylight.

I painted a 78 f250 4x4 one time for a buddy who was building it for his soon to be wife. Her family owned a dairy farm and she wanted a truck she could use on the farm. Turned out to be a nice truck.....4 inch lift,400m with a 4spd,4:10 gears with 33's, all new sheet metal. when I asked him what color we were painting it he said..."pink :ack: I guess." :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: He took alot of grief every time someone saw him driving the f2sissy.

befor and after pics are the same pic........because it looks exactly the same after the wreck as it did before. :clapping:

Figured Id be a nice guy last night and take the wife to work since the roads were kinda crappy. Fast forward 5 hours.... I'm sitting at the redlight waiting to turn into the shopping plaza where she works when BAM! I looked in the mirror just in time to let off the brakes as he hit me. Conclusion: Comanche: 1, two wheel drive lowered s10: 0. S10 had a flattened bumper broken grill and a wrinkled hood. I think he might have scratched the paint on my back bumper. I'll have to wash the salt off to know 4 sure. My truck before. My truck after

for small area's, driveways, sidewalks, basic residential stuff there is no better plow truck than a Jeep. :agree: We have a 02 f250 at work for a plow truck. When it comes to plowing around stuff in tight areas I'll take the comanche any time. Obviously the full size truck works better for pushing deep wet snow but the old mj will still do the job.

looks like a pretty good deal...brightr backup lights are a definate plus if your gonna plow after dark..... I wired my backups through a toggle switch and a relay that is triggered by the factory back up lights. That way any time the switch is my extra lights come on whenever you put the truck in reverse.
-
Each state has their own laws but for the most part you definately want lights mounted higher than the blade. My factory headlights om my truck are completely blocked by the blade when its raised all the way. The plow lights look like theyre mounted really high but when you raise the blade it all makes sense.

Merry Christmas one and all......especially to those of us stuck at work.

Funny you should mention that. I have tried to check and adjust my tps twice now according to the method described in the fsm and its WAY off. Ive been hesitant to replace it because of the cost but I may just have to suck it up and order one.
