I got some grey interior pieces from a junk 94 xj. I need the interior color code so I can match the color and paint my mj pieces. The Auto paint store says they need the code and the dealer wants a vin number. Is there that many different grey interiors in the 94 xj or they just to lazy to look it up for me? Also if I can find the vin from the junk xj will a decoder tell what the interior code is?

I'm in the process of installing the re drop brackets the only problem I have ran into is that my 86 mj does not have access to the upper control arm bolts which need to be drilled out to 1/2 inch I used a hole saw to cut access to these. here is a link http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/re_db.html of an xj which has access hole from the factory I don't now if all mjs are like mine but that is what I'm doing.

My favorite episode was when the CTD 4X4 ram beat the S10 with 350. That ram was fast.

I just bought a set of seatbelts just like those. Havent installed them yet but what do you think of them?

I had an 97 s10 and put a lift on it. had to weld new shock mounts on it and the battery got fried. It started leaking acid. By the way those ifs lifts are a PITA. I always disconnect the battery when I'm welding.

The tj dana 30 axle will be low pinion also. May cause driveshaft problems with the lift.

take the stoppers out of the rear of the backing plates and adjust them with a screw driver.

I started installing the re drop brackets today and I'm wondering about the upper hole that needs to be reemed out. Did you just use the original bolt or did you drill a 1/2" hole through the frame? It appears that the frame was changed later I have an 86 and the upper control arm bolt just threads into the frame. I think the later xjs must have a hole all the way through. Any thoughts on what I should do?

I'm getting the control arm drop brackets and re track bar. Will that have any drop to it? Also I was looking at the mj extreme duty 5.5 and it said it comes with a 1.75" coil spring spacerand the 1345 springs. So how much lift do you actually get. I already have a set of coil spring spacers should I install them to? I'm only running 31s right now but am setting it up for 34s or 35s when I get some lower gears. I have the rustys lower adj arms and stock uppers. Will I have to get uppers to get that much lift? thanks Scott

How much drop will it give over the stock mj pitman arm? and would it be ok for 5.5" re springs or do I need to get a aftermarket one. thanks in advance Scott

Header panel will be different. It was changed in 87 for the 4.0l.

If it don't have a drain plug its not an AW4. If its an 88 it should be an AW4

I did it on my 86. I just swaped column and bolted in the shifter. Mine was from tf 904 to aw4. Hope thats what you wanted to hear.

I need to replace the bucket seats in my mj with some grey seats. What year xj seats can I use with my mj brackets?

Does your firewall have the area behind the vavle cover recessed. This is my 86 that had a 2.5 The 4.0 fits just fine. Had to modify the header panel and radiator support but no big deal. If you are serious just buy a cherokee with good drivetrain and move it over.[/img][/url]
