Electrical Issues.. trying to troubleshoot
chunks6067 replied to Qui Gon-Jinn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
when my alternator died i went all extravagant and bought a high amp one ..you know for upgrade purposes but as far as replacing it its pretty easy once with the belt off and all . i want to say the biggest pain was having to remove the damn factory skid plate but other than that its a couple of bolts and wires. -

I had to change my temp sending unit and oil pressure sending unit not expensive at all but keep in mind i think some pre HO year gauges were not all compatible so be sure to check some of the topics that have covered it my gauges are part digital with the speedo cable attached manual

Engine compartment light?
chunks6067 replied to Cdn Glenwood's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Parallel wire the hot red wire from the harness connector to both lights. They will be grounded by the housing bolt. Do both your yard lights have inline mercury switches? If so, be sure the hot wire from the connector is hooked to the switch input. I'm not sure if they both have switches i know one does going to test the other tomorrow Thanks for the help! if all else fails ill just use my 6d cell maglite -
Engine compartment light?
chunks6067 replied to Cdn Glenwood's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The light from the '88 will have one power wire to the harness, the other (ground) is attached to the light bracket, however your '92 will have a two wire connector at the harness (as in the picture below) so you will have to rewire the light. Hornbrod please confirm since you have a '91, my '90 has the two wire configuration while my '88 and '89 are single wire. see that confused me i have a 90 that has the two wire configuration, yet both lights i got from the yard have one wire and ground to the bracket (trying to do a 2light setup) :hijack: any suggestions on how to wire up two lights as described above? -

i rarely laugh at other peoples misfortunes, but I'm sorry that is the funniest thing ive read in a long time :rotf: glad you were able to fix it! -
fun stuff I know a few aggies. I have the 7 year commitment because I am a NAV. Pilots catch an 8 yr. ABMs get 6, and I think most others are all 4. If it is California he is probably going Space and Missiles if I had to guess. i wanna say it is Space and Missile but I'm not sure how long ..i think he wasn't interested in pilot position because of the extended commitment

:rotf: Come on LT, We swim all the time in full gear (camies, boots, flaks, kevlar, rifle) with a ALICE pack. It ain't nothing but a thing! You will get better with practice! Hopefully you will never NEED the training! ya, but do you like it? I love swimming, I really like the workout of swimming with the extra drag from the suit. I just hate treading water. It's not that I cannot do it, I just don't want to do it. I passed all the evolutions so far just fine. what y'all talking about? training for what?
