  1. So when i bought my MJ i got under it and it had the factory skid for the trsfercase and I'm wondering is the one on my gas tank original too or is it and addon from the prev owner? Dose anyone else have them.. i can't recall any pic of them on anyone's rig

  6. i replaced the filter last week but today in gonna double and triple check grounds and fuel pressure
  7. I cleaned it and the whole TB then i just replaced the IAC after i was convinced it was not working still stalls at every damn light I'm so frustrated ready to sell the damn thing ...drives a man to drinking :beerhead:
  8. could that be contributing for my frequent stalls at stop lights and turns or should i be looking at my cps that ive had to change 2x already for a no start right now its currently routed as far away from the exhaust manifold as poss ..or should i be looking at a clogged cat?
  9. ok so ive had this bad stalling problem (90 AT 4.0) when i test the TPS i get 4.61v where I believe it is supposed to be 5.0v on the other side i am able to adjust it to the proper 4.2 anyone know why its so low on A-D connection i also read a post about dividing the output by the input voltage to get ratio between .825 and .835 (.830 optimum)

Thanks jt but i get that kind of advice from my Finance class everyday :smart: Boilermaker: About the D44 i think thats the way I'm leaning, thanks for the info about the two in SA thats where ill look if this falls through $200 is a bit high too in my opinion but right now thats the starting price I'm going to see if i can get it down a little more as for the rifle ill just ask my gf for it :thumbsup:
  11. ok so ive been debating this for a while but don't know what to do Came across a bit of cash the other day and not sure if i should buy a D44 i found in an old 87cherokee or buy a rifle Around this time of the year i feel a bit bad buying anything for my self, but the last time i checked i had everyone covered(as far as gifts for the family and gas money to go visit them for Christmas) I am currently in college and don't usually have this kind of money to spend on myself and i guess thats why it is a hard decision for me I currently don't wheel my D35 hard at all but do plan on going SOA and when i do ide like to swap in the D44 (as far as price i am still working on it with the guy from the local yard) (what would be a good price? and what specifics should i look at?) As far as the rifle - I'm not a super hard core hunter or outdoor sportsman ..just like to go to the range every now and then with the family and target practice (has just became a new sport for me) not too sure exactly what i would be looking into buying either as far as type/brand or the kind of advice due to the sensitivity of the issue any advice? thanks!

  14. when mine was staying on it turned out to be the vacuum switch on the tcase was sticking.. was keeping the axle disco locked went to the local parts store and found it to be in the 'help' section .mine still sticks sometimes but a simple love tap on the switch disengages it
  15. i have just been reading about a EGR causing this problem checked it out ---good! gonna remove cat tomorrow see if that might be it --- good (being it didn't solve to remove it) replaced IAC ...still stalling and idle very low low low New tps --- still stalling anyone?
  16. Ok so i have a 90MJ(renix)AT that stalls only after it warms up. I get one the road and when i accelerate there is a noticeable power loss. It will idle fine for about 10-15min or until i drive for about 4 or 5 miles, then once i get to a stop or take a hard turn rps just drop and it dies. starts back up fine, but still with noticeable power loss Cleaned and checked grounds Cleaned all sensor connections tested my tps---good changed my cps 2x (both times for a no start) had a recent tune up (plugs, wires, oil, filters) relatively new cap and rotor and i have not checked my fuel pressure but am planning on it once i can get a hold of some gauges. anything would help :wall: Thanks
