  1. Hey Tracker - well said. You'll always be welcome in 'Bama!
  2. Naw, the wife's ex-01 XJ didn't have it. But the late 80s Wagoneers that had the rare Sentinentel system monitored all the fluids. But they were leaky bastids........ :D
  3. lol - understand. The brake light is supposed to come on when cranking, the light goes out after the engine starts; a self test. Unless the pressure switch is stuck. :D
  4. Doesn't it come on when you use the e-brake?
  5. Adjusting the drag link will not affect the stops, it only centers the steering wheel. But the toe adjustment must be done first to center the tie rod.
  6. Don't agree with the wife's "You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist." She must be a Dayemocrat. The carcass would be good for the kid's target practice.

  8. I was just about to say that. I had a 91 XJ that I couldn't get the light to reset in and I finally read the manual  and it said to apply lots of pressure to the pedal to reset the switch. One quick stomp later all was well. I've been through my manual and never saw that. Did you see it in the FSM? Just wondering how this worked out for Eagle. Also am curious what caused the switch to pop out it in the first place. I've replaced basically everything on my brakes (booster, master, rear drums, most lines) and never had this happen. :dunno:
  9. If you have a set of MJ bucket seat brackets, any pre-1994 XJ bucket seat will bolt right on, if that's what you are asking.
  10. Now hold on a minute Pat. No self-respecting drunk redneck would do that (well, maybe, but only on a very special occasion, like Friday night :brows: ) then be proud of it by publishing the pictures. :D
  11. It didn't look like a hack job... How much is it worth? the truck or the sunroof? The truck, i don't know since i can't see it. The sunroof, hopefully hornbrod sees this cause he just had one put in. I think it was a few hundred Wade, since I've had my sunroof put in, I've done some research. I have all the parts catalogs for the 86-92 MJs, and there is was no sunroof option offered by the factory for any model. There were for the XJs, ZJs, and Wagoneers, both pop-ups and electrics. So, unless someone can prove me wrong, I think it was a dealer-only installed option. Also, the guy that put mine in has been doing sunroofs for 35 years for various dealerships in the area, including Jeeps, and he says he has never seen a factory sunroof on an MJ, although he has installed quite a few back in the day on new Comanches. Oh, and I was charged $300 total for the sunroof, labor, and a new headliner.
  12. On my 91 w. a malfunction closes the pressure switch and applies a ground to turn on brake light. Does the brake light go out when you disconnect the wire from the switch? I'm still bettin' the switch is stuck closed.
  13. Possible brake warning light causes: 1. parking brakes are applied 2. very low pedal 3. low fluid level 4. excessively worn brake lining 5. there's a pressure differential between the front/rear hydralic systems But I'm sure you know this. :D If everything is okay, I'd just swap out the pressure sensor at the combo valve.
  14. Interesting. Do you plan on retaining the NSS? All the AW4 drive circuits (1-2-D-OD) are routed through the NSS, so you would need a 4-speed shifter. And Park, Neutral, and Reverse are mechanically operated by the shift cable, so I'm fuzzy how this could be done too.
  15. That's true. The U-haul hitch brackets use the same holes as the factory bumper brackets and fit inside. But I think with shims you could install it w/o a factory bumper.
  16. Correct, the caliper slide pins are 7mm.
  17. Here's a Class III on Ebay, 3500 lbs, nice hitch: http://tinyurl.com/5vtumr
  18. Of course. I ASSuMEed he knew the engines had to be the same. But you are absolutely correct.
  19. The engine compartments are identical, and the aftermarket XJ/MJ intakes will interchange.
  20. Been thinking about this too, this thread from NAXJA should help: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41219&page=2&highlight=grand+cherokee+seats I've read the whole thing through and am still not 100% certain. But it looks like the ZJ seats will bolt directly to the XJ brackets, which means they will also bolt to the MJ bucket brackets since the bolt pattern is the same. So if you can come up with a set of MJ bucket seat brackets (or use the bench seat brackets - have not done that) it should work.
  21. So which one is yours JT? The good twin or the evil twin :nanner: ?
  22. Just curious: why do you Hate column shifters?
  23. That's okay for Renix injectors. They can vary from 12-20 ohms. It's good that all read the same too.
  24. Found it: about half way down the first page. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1556&highlight=water+cool
