Yep, a bit odd but understandable I suppose. I'm 6'5" however, and have no issue with the rear door OR legroom, it's incredibly roomy in the back.

Not bad, I'm looking into buying a 3d printer myself. It'd be nice to just "make" any small part I need. I've seen them as high as $10K. $180 is the cheapest I've heard of, and it appears to do the job pretty well.

Thanks, I ran the VIN, and even though it's a rubicon (less payload and tow) it's still rated for 7422lbs tow and 1300 payload. Not great on payload, the max tow allows 1700, but I assume it's because of the softer coils and fox shocks. I've towed 3200lbs with it on a damn near 30 degree incline at 60mph and it didn't skip a beat the whole way. Like I said, I'll write an abbreviated, yet interesting review in the near future. Anyone can look on youtube and get a generic review, I intend to take pictures of the axles, armor, actually have some numbers for you guys to compare. Despite popular belief, this is not a wrangler with a bed. It just shares part of the body tub. Honestly, it seems closer to a Ram.

I feel like I’m going to get flack for this, but I pulled the trigger on a new truck. I’d like to write a post about my thoughts on it, I’m actually very impressed with the truck. But a couple pictures will do for now. Gotta say, the MJ looks so much better, haha

Added some creature comforts, such as finally servicing the A/C I added awhile ago, and tinting the fronts to 27%, and the rear glass to 20%. Alot more comfortable now. I never realized how bad the paints been getting, though. That's coming soon. ALSO, the MJ got a "little" sister!

Something I recently started doing was touching my diff covers after a long drive. They should never be too hot to touch I've found. If they are, might have a leak.

24 LB Injectors on a (mostly) Stock 4.0
AeroNautical replied to AeroNautical's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So, it appears the yellow/orange 4 hole ford injectors pretty much fixed the problem after the computer relearned them. Thanks for the help guys, my Jeep runs well again. -
They just announced the diesel Gladiator yesterday, actually. From my understanding, and this is speculation, but the diesel tows less than the gasser. A manual gasser tows less than an auto. So a diesel manual would tow almost nothing. It's all a cooling thing for the diesel, they couldn't get the ability to cool great enough in the diesel version due to limited grill space or something.

24 LB Injectors on a (mostly) Stock 4.0
AeroNautical replied to AeroNautical's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
After grabbing 8 from a JY, 2 fail and one leak, I've finally gotten some good ones installed. So far so good, it runs just fine. I'll have to get it up to temp and try to start it to make sure it actually fixed the problem, but I have no power loss with these like I did with the stock injectors. Thanks for the suggestion. -

I just picked some up today from the JY. I’ll clean them up with my sonic cleaner and 9volt some carb cleaner through them, and install tomorrow. Here’s hoping! -

24 LB Injectors on a (mostly) Stock 4.0

Thanks for the link. The OBD1 era fuel rail with the return line is stock at 39 psi with no vacuum, and 30 at idle. I think your thinking of the returnless fuel rail on the 98, 99 era XJ. The regulator is on the rail. But all things considered, I'm having an extremely rich environment, so low fuel pressure certainly isn't the issue I wouldn't think. -

The fuel pump is brand new also. There isn’t a bleed down issue, it maintains 39 psi with no vacuum, and 30 psi with. Does anyone sell those injector adapters? -

That's quite the list, thanks! They are the silver and green injectors. -

24 LB Injectors on a (mostly) Stock 4.0
AeroNautical replied to AeroNautical's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No sir, it's been completely converted to OBD1, and it was running the same 93 era stock injectors. I've heard about adjustable MAPs, I'll look into it. Thanks That certainly sounds plausible. Any recommendation for a 93 era 4 hole injector? -
Some backround: 88 MJ with a 98 4.0 and an obd1 conversion. 99 horseshoe intake, banks header and high flow exhaust. Bored 62 mm throttle body. Are the 24 lb mustang injectors just too much for a non stroker? When cold, it starts and runs perfectly. When hot, it starts, stumbles, is very rich and usually dies. I have to feather the throttle to keep it running, but it runs perfectly again after about 20 seconds. With stock injectors, when the engine was under load (towing or WOT), it would lose all its power. With the 24 pounders, that problem is gone. Ideas? New FPR, maintains fuel pressure and doesn't bleed down. New MAP, new iac, new O2 and new tps. Edit: It does NOT pop any engine codes, the CEL doesn't even turn on when it's doing the little song and dance I explain above.

Floors... I bought the truck in 2011 and still haven't done the floors.. But I did just fix both manual window regulators, they go all the way down now!

I’ll have to keep an eye out for this guy, not far at all from where I live.

Warm, Rich, Stumble and Die

Mustang 24 lbs injectors I've been running for a little while now, much longer than when these issues came up.
